Olson Saw FB19293DB 3/8 by 0.025 by 93-1/2-Inch HEFB Band 4 TPI Skip Saw Blade

I'm using this on a standard 14" band saw to cut bowl blanks 6-8" diameter, ~5" thick. Made a quick circle cutter (screw through a peice of 1/2" plywood with guide rails at the bottom). I can take a peice of split firewood, and in <1min spin it through and get a perfect circle (so transitioning from rip to crosscut). This is going through old maple and sassafras with EASE - the sawdust clears very well, and the kerf is wide enough to allow tight circles.For <$12 this is great!!

I've purchased several of these Olson blades in the past and have been satisfied with them for the most part. This one was really just plain 'dull'. I've ordered a new one hoping it is comparable to those I've purchased in the past... but if it is like the latest one.... I won't be back.UPDATE... I ordered a new blade but then noticed that delivery is like 10 days. I canceled the order and will find something else to work with. Who uses camels for delivery anymore?

A perfect blade for my needs. I usually use a 1/2" 4 tpi Claw blade, I got this based on reviews and it works very well. I am using the blade to cut down large wood in the milling process so I can then plane/joint it. This did a great job on some 8/4 walnut. It cut straight and quickly...kept the dust out of the cut so no bog down. The cut was not smooth...but I do not expect it to be in this step in the process. The blade arrived on time and well packaged. I will make this my go-to rough cut blade on my 14" bandsaw.

This is my go to blade...the one I keep on the saw 90% of the time. The blade delivers smooth cuts and straight resawing on narrower material. I have no hesitation selecting these blades.

Purchased this 93 1/2" blade as part of complete rebuild including Cool Block guides and new bearings. Examining the blade out of the box showed weld spatter and pretty rough grinding on the weld. The back of the blade was not flat either. Needless to say, the blade doesn't run true, is loud and jumps against the bearing when under light cutting pressure. Perhaps this was a fluke, I'll try another one to see if the quality improves. I will post again when I receive the replacement.

Cuts very well and holds up reasonably well. This is my preference to get the most quality cutting time at a very reasonable price. The more expensive specialty blades last much longer, especially the carbide ones. The problem is that the ""high dollar blades" loose their sharpness and then you are stuck cutting with a 1/2 sharp (dull) blade what seems like forever. I have had really good luck with the :Olson blades and I hope they never raise their price..

An Olson brand saw blade is a great blade. It is very sharp and it gives you a great cut even on thick stock it cuts straight and fast. It is 100% better then the other blades that are on the market. It is the only brand that I will buy. Very satisfied.

Bought for friend and he says they are as good as the ones he used to use. No rating for longevity: because he has not used them long enough yet.
