Technocratic goals are the artificial goals imposed upon people.
Here is a quote from the book:“The newly reinvented system of governance puts its emphasis on implementing regulations rather than on enforcing laws. If legal obstacles are encountered, the organization is empowered to take whatever pragmatic approach they can devise to skirt the law in favor of the regulation. If empowerment means pragmatism, which it does, then it fits perfectly with the other Technocratic goals that Clinton expressed. The theoretical result of emphasizing regulations over laws is a lawless government and could have been recognized as such in 1993.”As a young professor at Rutgers, Ph.D. theoretical physics, I took a summer job at Bell Laboratories working on an anti-missile project to build a system to protect us against Soviet attacking missiles. Management constantly changed the direction of the work. I felt this is not the way to perform research. They offered me double what Rutgers was paying, but I declined. The project eventually failed. I can cite several other examples of similar failures. Recently Israel successfully built and deployed an antimissile system. I worked on the initial phases of the project. Israel succeeds because the people remain focused on goals, whereas Americans are focused on doing what the boss wants. This is the point Wood is making. Technocratic goals are the artificial goals imposed upon people. We need to recognize this, and insist on realistic goals. Here are some more quotes:Technocrats believed that they could engineer society by applying the Scientific Method in the same manner as it was applied to physical science. The New School. By 1921, Veblen was ready to try again and did so with the release of his Engineers and the Price System that took all the blinders off. He plainly stated, If the country’s productive industry were competently organized as a systematic whole, and were then managed by competent technicians with an eye single to maximum production of goods and services instead of, as now, being manhandled by ignorant business men with an eye single to maximum profits; the resulting output of goods and services would doubtless exceed the current output by several hundred percent.Simply put, they believed that the actions of human beings, both direct and indirect, were the root cause of societal problems and that they were directly related to biology, climate and natural resources. The absence of enlightened scientific management would doom mankind to certain destruction.Haass’ statement “there is precious little thinking available” underscores a repeatedly used elitist technique. That is, first decide what you want to do, and second, assign a flock of academics to justify your intended actions. This is the crux of academic funding by NGOs such as the Rockefeller Foundation, Ford Foundation, Carnegie-Mellon, etc. After the justification process is complete, the same elites that suggested it in the first place allow themselves to be drawn in as if they had no other logical choice but to play along with the “sound thinking” of the experts. As a scientist, Hubbert tried to explain (or justify) his argument in terms of physics and the law of thermodynamics , which is the study of energy conversion between heat and mechanical work. Entropy is a concept within thermodynamics that represents the amount of energy in a system that is no longer available for doing mechanical work. Entropy thus increases as matter and energy in the system degrade toward the ultimate state of inert uniformity. In layman’s terms, entropy means once you use it, you lose it for good. Furthermore, the end state of entropy is “inert uniformity” where nothing takes place. To fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy’s resistance without fighting. Thus the highest form of generalship is to balk the enemy’s plans; the next best is to prevent the junction of the enemy’s forces; the next in order is to attack the enemy’s army in the field; and the worst policy of all is to besiege walled cities. The rule is, not to besiege walled cities if it can possibly be avoided.

Sneaky Horse in Plain Sight
The horse is a Trojan horse because it is hidden in plain sight. The attack is embedded within environmentalism, within green technology, within fighting pollution and world hunger, within smart grid management, and more. In other words, within ideas that sound so good, people surely will not resist them or contend with them. And that of course, is the plan. It is a good plan, and by good I do not mean beneficial. It is devious. By good, I mean effective. If that sounds outlandish to you, then you need to thoughtfully read this book. Mr Wood does a thorough job of exposing the rarely understood undercurrent that unifies so many modern concepts under what is actually the unpublished banner of skilled rule by privileged elites. For that is what's going on. Certain people really believe their calling is to direct and manage the whole world because the public is too dense to get anything right, and therefore their superior hands must be at the helm. And the crowd can't really know what's going on.The book is heavy on its justified indictment of the Trilateral Commission because that was the historical locus of Mr Wood's history of research. Certainly, the TLC is not the only hotbed of privileged elitism arrogant enough to want to incrementally seize world power, but focusing on the TLC serves as a very effective window into seeing the normally hidden reality. And the TLC certainly is one of the leading organizational mechanisms serving the prideful and sick cabal of elitism. One of the many things I like about this book is Wood's suggestion for what to do about it, and that involves acquiring insight regarding one's local governing officials who have so often been lured by the spell of utopian technocracy's empty promises and false visions. Such folk are a dime a dozen. Mr Wood rightfully points out that if informed citizens engage local officials and place the proper pressure on them to stem the tide of a gradual technocratic takeover, we can turn the tables on these hidden criminals. It's been done before. Wood documents how Technocracy raised it ugly head in the 1930's, but informed citizens managed to bat it down. The elites realized they needed to infect education so that when they tried again, resistance would be minimized. We'll see how that goes, because our American education system certainly has been infected with the various chosen conceptual viruses of the elitist cabal. But interestingly, the Internet has played a role in diminishing the infection of intentional pseudo-education by the elitist cabal. We'll see how it goes all right, but if I recall correctly, prophecy says something about an antichrist ruling over a one-world government. Gee, I wonder what that means?

Revealing the "Bigger Picture".
This excellent and well researched piece of work establishes the links between people and organizations with powerful vested interests at heart. If one is not of a cynical outlook before reading this book, you almost certainly will be upon reaching the end.One way or another it would seem that our actions and opinions are being manipulated to bring about changes that are not in our best interests, and that we would not take on voluntarily.Where governance at any level is concerned,it seems the message is: Accept nothing, and question everything!

Review of - Technocracy Rising: The Trojan Horse by Patrick M. Wood.
This book is written primarily from an American perspective; but the same processes described in this book can readily be seen at work in the UK and the whole of the Western world.Anyone wanting to know what on earth is going on in this world at this time should read Technocracy Rising: The Trojan Horse by Patrick M. Wood. This book explains in very clear and plain language, the plans, policies and actions ranged against we ordinary people of the world today. After reading this book the reader should then understand why there is no real difference in policy or direction of the political parties; why nothing ever improves with a change of government; why the controlling Green Agenda is driven by all shades of politics; why investigative journalism within the mainstream media has become a lost art; why there is a bland commonality in the output from the mainstream media; why there is ever-increasing control over every aspect of all our lives by the political and corporate classes. The big revelation for me was reading Chapter 7 “Transforming Law”. This chapter describes the transformation from formal law, comprehensible law, what many of us would interpret as “fair and knowable law, into REFLEXIVE LAW. Reflexive law is undefined law, where the prosecutor/applier of 'law' uses every possible deceit to achieve the 'required' outcome. Reflexive Law is a 'win-win' for the prosecutor/applier, and 'lose-lose' for the defendant. The whole of this book is worthy of a close read, but the book is worth having if only to read Chapter 7.Chapter 8 “Transforming Energy: Global Smart Grid” will enlighten all who are unaware of where the Smart Grid and Smart Meters are taking us – it is a nightmare that makes Orwell's 1984 look like a children's tea party.

Very informative and applicable as ever!
This book provides a good explanation of technocracy and how it is changing our world today. The book talks about how the main building blocks of society are made up of religion, economics and politics and how technocracy is gradually controlling all three. I would highly recommend everyone to read this book as it is applicable as ever, especially during this current global pandemic!

... so I think the NWO will not be exactly like this. Patrick Wood
The only problem with this theory is that the price of Services can't be obtained via a Technocratic price mechanism so I think the NWO will not be exactly like this. Patrick Wood, though, does join all the dots in what has to be one of the most academic and well thought out books which links the Sustainable development rubbish with the Surveillance coming our way very soon, with the evil Illuminati Trilateral Commission members and allied groups such as CFR and EU numpties. (He doesn't mention the word Illuminati in the whole book- and i think this is good becasue it's such a loaded word!) If you want to understand what is going on then read this book... a wee bit theoretical in places but he's an Economist- what do you expect!?
