Best product for the pool I've ever seen!
We started with Fred's Swim Academy Swim Trainer Classic when my daughter was just over a year old, and it is the best water product I have ever seen or used. It gives the child the freedom to swim while being secure and within arms length of a parent. She can put her face in the water (which she LOVES), something other flotation devices don't allow, and can relax and just float between energy bursts. We've moved up to the larger size and are still extremely happy with this product. I'm not sure what we'll use when she outgrows the trainer (she is special needs and will likely never be able to swim unaided), but for now, we're thrilled with summer season and this amazing product.

Not as advertised
This doesn’t fit a 2-6 year old. You’d be lucky to fit an 18 month old in it. Mine also came with one of the blow up components cut open so you couldn’t even air it up properly. My son is 37 lbs and wouldn’t fit.. let alone a 65 lb child.

This is a great swim trainer for toddlers. Water safety is a must!! Please keep careful eye on toddler and within arms reach!

this should be classified as a next step from red rather than by age group. It does not seem as stable as the red one in the water. If your little swimmer is starting out and is afraid of the water, go with the red one.

Works but not perfect
This is just OK. My 2 year old feels safe in it but doesn't really like the straps and messes with them the whole time. Not a bad buy, but not a perfect solution either.

Confident little swimmer!
Our 2 1/2 year daughter enjoyed going in the pool but despite swim lessons was not comfortable unless she was held by my husband or myself. Until we discovered this when we saw another child wearing it in the pool. Pretty much immediately she started floating independently, in swimming position, kicking her legs. Where water wings, noodle and other floating devices failed us, this one worked! It's wonderful seeing her getting confident in the water! I just stress though that this is not to be used with full supervision!
