Can I purchase extra keys seperately?
What do the different colors mean? the options list them as “length.” how do i know which i need? thank you.
Will these keep determined teenagers out?
How do you get the key out? Epic fail so far if you can't remove the key from the port blocker after you remove it.

Great for Layer-1 security

I got lucky and found a warehouse deal for a 50 pack of these ($19.79, Used-Like New) - not sure if I would have paid the full $75 for a 50 pack. With that said, they get the job done and they do it well. They snap into place VERY securely and there is no removing these things unless you have the key. I have these on my home server rack to primarily keep dust out, they also don’t look half bad. Keeps everything uniform.I could see these being extremely useful in a business or school environment where you need to block those ports out for security reasons. Obviously you could just disable the port in software, but having that extra layer of security definitely doesn’t hurt.I’ve seen some bad reviews where people complain they can’t remove the blocker from the key… just pull it off of the key and you’re good to go. The keys are different for each color, which is also beneficial.Very happy with my set. I did go ahead and take the plunge for another 10-pack at the MSRP to get those last few ports blocked.

Simple to use access restricting accessory

Effective, easy and simple to use. Would have earned a 5 Star rating except - they only supply ONE KEY! It's a simple plastic part. Lose it or (More likely) break it and you're wasting time looking for needle-nose pliers to remove the Blocker. They should have packaged 8 plugs and two keys.

Child lock out

No, I can lock my ports, so my child can’t hook his computer straight to the Internet when he’s in trouble, his desktop does not have Wi-Fi and requires a cord but these lock the ports, so he can’t use them

Used for a number of customers. Note - if you've never used these before the "colors" are not interchangeable - they are keyed differently. White port blockers require the white key, red requires the red key etc. As long as you know this and purchase the correct pairs these are a good option. Keep in mind these are also designed for permanent/semi-permanent install. Not designed for frequent insertion / removal.

Great Security Devices for Your Network

These RJ45 port blockers work great! If you are buying these for your network devices, make sure your IT team knows that keys are not necessarily interchangeable. Colors have different keys and other manufacturers have different keys.

Gets the job done, but not worth the price

One thing that bothered me immediately was the packaging. Having so many of these and no place to store them is quite annoying. It would've been amazing if they came in a resealable bag. As others have stated, not being able to buy spare keys is annoying. I'm not to the stage where this is an issue for me yet, but having to buy a whole new set just for more keys is not something I'll enjoy later down the road.Overall, although these do a great job at "locking" ports form unattended access, and keeps them clean from dust (better than leaving them completely open), I don't think they're worth such a price. Spending almost $1 per port is ridiculous, knowing they are probably worth 5 cents of material to make. I would've bought more than I did if they didn't cost so much and have some issues (buying extra keys specifically). If you need a lot of these, you're better off buying a 3D printer and making your own. You'll spend around the same amount, and get more out of the money long term. Plus, you can make more keys if yours get worn down too badly.Let's be honest, the better approach is having smart switches and disabling the ports on that to revoke unauthorized access. From there, you could use a blank RJ45 cap to cover the port from dust. All these will do is provide a visual representation to other people and say "This port is unusable by anyone."I'm giving 3 stars because they get the job done as described, but took two away from the high price, packaging, and no ability to buy keys separately for a lower price.
