Look, the Redmi Note 8 Pro is beautiful. The iridescent glass backs are gorgeous regardless of which color you choose, but with a crystal front and back this phone is going to naturally be fragile. That goes double with the faux-metal finished plastic frame, which I imagine will wear worse than the real shiny metal it's copying.So it's a beautiful, fragile phone. And you'll want a transparent case to show off how beautiful it is while offsetting it's fragility. However transparent cases have two main problems; they yellow over time due to hand oil, and they look cheap.This case solves one of those problems, and maybe the other.First, this case does not look cheap. It is beautiful and extremely transparent on the back so it shows off the iridescent glass back perfectly. It looks more premium than any TPU case I've ever used.Second, I was surprised to find that this case doesn't seem to be entirely TPU. The edges (the shock resistant parts) are black TPU (I ordered the black version) which is good because TPU is very shock absorbent, but the transparent back panel is a sheet of something else, glued in place on the inside. It's hard but still somewhat flexible, and resists scuffs better than TPU.This makes me wonder if it will be more resistant to yellowing over time than TPU. We can hope? I'll update when I've owned it much longer.Now, there are other positives to this case. First, the buttons remain very clicky and tactile with this case installed. It looks like they used an unusual method of cutting the buttons that leaves the center of the buttons flexible while leaving the edges less flexible, and then they angled the buttons so that your finger always hits the flexible part first. This means these buttons are much more pleasant and clicky to press than the mushy buttons on most cases.The case is easy to install but feels very secure, which is a trait in common with practically all TPU cases.Additionally, there are aggressive (but small) bumpers on each corner cleverly disguised as an aesthetic feature, which should improve impact resistance even more.This case really only has one downside, and that's bulk. It's far from the most bulky case I've used; I would rate it at "medium" bulkiness. However it does tend towards the thicker side compared to other TPU cases (which tend to only be thin sleeves). It's thinner than many two-piece hybrid cases but not a minimalist or slim solution. If this was a smaller phone it would not matter, but the Redmi Note 8 Pro is already a phablet with a fairly wide aspect ratio compared to other bezel-free waterdrop phones, so extra bulk must be avoided even for people with long fingers like me who normally can operate phablets one-handed.I haven't dropped this case yet but given the sheer quantity of TPU on the corners and the size of the raised lip (which is also steeper than usual on the corners), I suspect it will be extremely durable.TL; DRBeautiful case that will leave your phone impervious to damage while showing off its natural beauty, with clicky buttons and smart design features. Unfortunately, it's nearly as bulky as a hybrid case, moreso than most TPU slim cases. Still not a big problem.

Excellent fit and finish on this case, so far the only case that I have noticed that has higher raised edges to protect the camera module of this phone. The raised edges at the top and bottom does well to protect your screen whilst not interfering with full screen gestures which I use. Also it allows you to show off your phones colour whilst ensuring that its well protected... Great case

Good case, I am using it with a screen protector too. My phone has fallen two times already and no issues so far.The only thing that was off for me when I started using the case is the plastic feeling from the back.But I think I already got used to it.Would recommend.

I'm absolutely in love with this phone 😍 Not only is it beautiful (I got the ocean blue color model) but it runs ten times faster than my two year old Samsung model, it has a good weight to it so it doesn't feel cheap nor breakable, and it's battery has thus far been able to last me a little over two days on a single charge. It's processor runs Pokemon Go like a dream, and although I had to set up Cricket's APN settings manually to get it connected, once I did (and a single Google search made it easy to do so) it's run quickly and smoothly. For the price of this phone I'm amazed at the quality I've received.

I purchased this and the fit is good with the note 8 pro, the case is hard and have a good aspect, perfect and very solid construction, I feel confident in case I drop my phone.

Dropped the phone a handful of times. The screen is still somehow pristine despite the lack of screen protector. Yes, living like an animal, I know.

Can honestly say this is now one of my favorite phone cases!The clear plastic on the back of the case is a lot more sturdy than I was originally thinking it was going to be! It displays the back of the phone very well too!the case overall feels very nice in the hands too.MOST IMPORTANTLY: the buttons are VERY nice to press. A nice light press while being responsive and not squeeky like some other cases!
