Pound for pound, I think this sequel is as good as it's predecessor and any other shark film to date. I did like some of the imagery in the first 47 Meters Down better, such as when the lights come on and, all of a sudden, there are multiple sharks surrounding the main character. But this one has an awesome premise (exploring sunken Mayan ruins) for a shark movie. Also, the sharks are blind and hunt for their victims with their hearing in this one. How cool is that?

I had such hope for this sequel to 47 Meters Down, but was sadly let down.Many things put me off: no characters from the first movie were carried over, the plot was fairly ridiculous, the character's roles seemed misplaced and the dialogue was, at best, simple-minded. Special affects were marginal and used sparingly.The acting was on par for this genre, with only two actors being familiar to me. This movie was disappointingly underwhelming.

This movie had a much more interesting story line than the 1st one did. More action and a lot less predictable than the 1st movie. Well acted, relatable characters and situations believable. a lot of Beautiful scenes. But it is a shark movie so people are being attacked but it's not a gore fest.
