These shorts are a good value. I bought two pairs, one beige and one navy. They are medium weight cotton. The leg length is perfect. The width of the shorts was perfect for the beige, but the blue shorts were a little wider, but wearable.The waist is true to size, which means if you lay the garment flat on a table and measure it the measurement is exactly 18 inches; which is half the waist size of 36. Many purchasers say they are small, but that is because when they buy most pants there is an inch or two added for a "vanity" fit by the manufacturer. Your skin measurement is not your pant size, unless you wear your shirts untucked. I wear my shirts tucked in, so that adds an inch to the waist size. I normally buy size 34, but purchased 36, and they fit, but not super snug. There are no wrinkles in the front or back of the shorts, which would indicate tightness.Overall, a good buy for the price.

I have so many of these shorts I really enjoy them. Great fit for slimmer people. I wear them out I have to keep buying more and more. Very comfortable plenty of space in pockets.

They are called basic but shorts pretty much are. They are regular shorts. Normal length, perfect fit. Pockets and zipper are normal and no shortcuts were taken like a short zipper or unusable pockets.I've had them a few weeks and have worn them many times. I've washed them a few times too. No changes in quality. No threads flinging loose. They are as good as the other brand name shorts I have.They are basic in that they do not have a phone pocket or separate pouches in your pockets for dividing stuff like keys and a front pocket wallet. No grippy band to keep them from creeping down. If you are pone to plumbers crack, you will be showing it after a while. I tuck w=to prevent that when I need to.I recommend these and great everyday casual shorts.
