DHS Tar Shampoo, 8 Fluid Ounce

well I got this lump/bald spot on my head, and it didnt go away for a few months. I was washing my head daily, and was told to try a coal shampoo as it might help. So I found this one, and decided to give it a try. One of the biggest things I have noticed since using this is I dont have white flakes in my hair at all any more. Like I have short hair, but I can nail my scalp and see nothing fall in front of my eyes, where previous to using this I would. It has definately helped with my dry scalp issue and thats pretty awesome. As far assisting with the lump, nope didnt work. I went to a doctor, and i will be needing to take medacine to get rid of it, so its not something a shampoo was going to be able to fix anyway. I was an infected poor I guess.Anyway, this product will definately help with your dandruff / dry scalp. It even helped clear up my face a bit. Really good shampoo, its the only one I have used for the last month or so, and I have not received any complaints that my head stinks, and it really doesnt smell that bad. Maybe if you smell the lather on your hands while in the shower you will get a semi strong smell, but once you wash your head and hands off it is gone, and you left with nice clean smell free hair :)

I was told to use this shampoo by my dermatoligist to help with skin cell growth. Seems to work well.

I have been using this shampoo for months to treat seborrheic dermatitis. I use it every other time I shampoo. It is definitely more effective than not using a dandruff shampoo. Not a pleasant smell, but better smelling and much more pure than the NEUTROGENA T-gel, and just as effective. I have sensitive skin and this is totally gentle, I have had no reactions.I think a combo of this and a sloughing formula (more like those available at your local drug store) would probably be more effective at removing more flakes, but I don't wash my hair often enough to feel like cycling through three different shampoos.I have long thick hair and was worried that having to wash twice each time I use this would make me go through the bottle really fast, but my first bottle lasted a few months.

I bought this for myself and my son. He has really bad dandruff and I always get build-up because of going a few days between washes. I have a lot of super thick hair and I blow-dry and use a flat-iron so I like to wait a few days before having to do all that again. But my scalp does not like to go more than a day without washing. First, the smell is AWFUL it smells like freshly laid blacktop. It does fade after your hair is dry but there is definitely still a smell. Second, I did notice way less build-up between washes and it seems like less flakes in my hair. I'm not sure if my son has used it yet because he is worried about the smell. Definitely worth a try though.

The smell is truly minor...I shower and apply to all skin areas in need. It's been life changing

My husband swears by this for clearing up any scalp problems, but she smell is AWFUL. Like, smell up the bathroom And the hallway awful. He switched to another brand of charcoal shampoo that I researched and picked up at the grocery store that smells Wonderful and he said it works just as well. He was shocked the new shampoo worked without the smell. Still, 3 stars because this stuff does work! :)

I alternate between this and shampoo with ketoconazole in it. The ones with salicylic acid just make my scalp cells tuen over more frequently and made the problem worse! Also good to rinse in cool water with apple cider vinegar; wait a few minutes and rinse again. Dermatologist’s liquids did nothing. Maybe because I have hair, plus ten drops isn’t going to spread on my whole scalp.
