Worth the purchase
Fortunately, I have not had occasion to use these little alarms. All I can really say about them is that I find them to be loud, the light function works, I like that you have the option to either press the button (twice) for the alarm or pull out the keychain stem, and the price for three of them seems very affordable to me. Worth the purchase to just stash in a pocket or keep by your bedside. I also like that they are rechargeable and I don’t have to guess whether the batteries are due for replacement. Just occasionally recharge them.

Perfect cost effective solution to our problem.
My husband has Parkinsons. His voice is too soft for me to hear if not beside him. He stays up later than I do. I needed a way for him to let me know if he needed me or if he fell when I was asleep. I looked into many systems but none seemed right at the time. This little alarm is freaking loud, I hear it anywhere in the house. The button is easy to push even on a bad day for him. We have 2, one in hs pocket and one in the bathroom. I think it would be great for a person alone at night to scare off anyone or animal. The flashing light is a bonus. At the low price of $10 ish it's a bargain and well worth the price.

Most important to know the sound should be loud.
The alarm sound is not very loud. The pull to start the alarm is stiff and doesn’t pull out easily.it

perfect extra security for your loved ones
Love these so much! I bought one for all of my family members. With the quarantine going on and all the chaos in the world nowadays, I just wanted that extra safety for them. We all started walking around the neighborhood a lot but some of us go in the morning, some at night, some alone. It’s super easy to use and convenient being on the keychain. What I really love about this product compared to others is that it’s chargeable. Others need battery replacements and being it’s for security it’s hard to rely on those. The sound is piercing and the lights flash off at the same time as well. Even if you aren’t in an emergency, the flashlight is also a big plus just to use everyday. Worth the price and an affordable investment.

Glad I picked this one
There are quite a few personal alarms on Amazon, each with glowing reviews that all kind of sound the same (suspicious) and none older then September 2019. I chose this one for three reasons: The alarm can be activated by either pulling a pin or pressing a button, the battery can be recharged via a USB cable and it comes with a flashlight. This one is more expensive than others but decided to give it a try and am glad I did. The alarm is LOUD, I annoyed everyone far and wide because I pushed the alarm button twice before reading the instructions (hint: you need to hold the button for a while to shut it off). The thing is small and smooth enough to fit nicely into the palm of a hand, it can also be attached to items such as a leash or a handbag. The alarm will not go off accidentally as the pin requires a good yank and the button needs to be pushed twice to activate the alarm (not to be misunderstood: to activate you need either yank the pin or push the button twice, you do NOT need to yank the pin AND push the button). The pin does not detach from the device so can't get lost and you can not yank the pin and push it back in to shut the alarm off when the alarm was activated by double-clicking the button, which I think is a nice additional safety feature (you know how to de-activate the alarm but the person attacking you will not). The flashlight is handy for finding key holes and can be set to flashing mode. It's a nice, sturdy little thing that I hope I will never have to actually use, but it sure provides peace of mind.

Personal Protection All the Features
I would have liked a louder alarm, but I chose this alarm over one with 140 decibels and less expensive alarms with the 130 decibles because the battery was rechargeable, the flashlight is larger, and it has two options for setting off the alarm making it more useful. I prefer the button because I can set off the alarm with one hand. Hopefully I can also swiftly pull down on it with force with one hand to pull the pin out when it is hanging off my purse, rather than having to use two hands to pull it out. I plan to test the hard tug option. Finally, I like that the pin stays attached to the main unit when pulled out so my hands are freed up in an emergency. I have had no issue with accidentally setting off the alarm, although I hang it on my purse or belt loop on a walk, I don't put it in my purse or pocket. I utimately went back and bought one for my sister who is moving from a small Colorado town to the city in California and my daughter-in-law who often walks my grandbaby alone on popular trails and up in the mountains with my son where they might come upon aggressive wildlife. Now my sister is going to buy one for her daughter who is in on a college campus. I should have taken advantage of the mulitple discount, but I wanted to see if I liked it before purchasing for my family. A personal alarm is a tool for empowerment to be prepared, not fearful. I recommend it.

Once I picked it up, couldn't help myself and activated it in my car. "Loud" is a fair description. It's good to practice switching it on/off, in case it is really needed, to confidently and without hesitation or thinking make it work for you.

I use these when walking my fur kid and it just gives that added security and peace of mind for myself. I have given the other two to family members as they walk as well. It’s not a super duper loud alarm but it would do the trick to draw some attention if needed. I like that it has the button feature and the pull out feature on the key ring area to set the alarm off. They are light weight and easy to charge. Good quality and delivered on time. For the price and peace of mind I would recommend them to anyone.
