Telephone Station Cable 500 ft. 4 Conductor R/G/Y/B 22Ga.

Wire is wire and this meets the need. I ordered it because I was extending some phone circuits and wanted R-G-Y-B to insure consistency. However, while the photo shows typical telephone red-green-yellow-black color code, this wire is actually red-BLUE-yellow-black. The text calls out the color correctly and it still works just fine.

I just received my box of wire and the seal was torn so I don't know if any of the wire is missing. This product should have been packaged in a separate box so someone did not have access to the wire and cut off what they wanted and left me with the rest. I don't ever plan to buy this kind of product unless the shipping is changed to protect my product.

This stuff is obsolete. I ordered the WRONG item. 4 conductor station wire has long ago been replaced by Category 5 or better ethernet cable. I should have never ordered this stuff.Unless you are repairing an old telephone system, do NOT use this stuff. Get and use Category 5, 5e, or 6 ethernet cable.

The insulation on the individual wires is a little too thick to fit in the phone plugs I've got, but skimming some off one side of the wires makes it much easier. The jacket on the wire does seem to be pretty tough yet still flexible making pulling the wires pretty simple.

For hobbiest's this is a good supply of hookup wire. I used it to connect my circuits from the utility room to the garage window. The only drawback is that the insulation on the four strands is not PTFE (Teflon) so if you are careful when soldering it melts.

Would be nice if they stated this in the description. Seems to be a common thing these days, very hard to find products that are 100% copper. It'll work, just not what I wanted.

I have redone my inside telephone line and it is working great no problems. Thanks Amazon I am happy with the results.
