Brought this to take 360 panoramas to convert them into 3d models for use in virtual reality development, reality capture and for a virtual production camera tracking system consisting of a eos m mirrorless camera running magic lantern hacked firmware addon a Intel t265and a vive tracker 2.0 I havent got a battery to test it yet but the build quality feels solid and unless I was unlucky and got a factory defective model (happens to all production runs of any device) then this is a perfect purchase I doubt it will be defective as the build quality is excellent my friend who doesn't know about tech commented on how proffesional it looked and said its very pro looking gear the flight case is amazing as a chucked in extra and the two remotes are perfect as they both have different use cases and the small white remote will be ideal for filming and tracking myself when against my greenscreen wall and the fact it fits discreetly in the hand means I can conceal it by simple being aware of my hands I don't have a WiFi equipt camera but do plan to buy WiFi HDMI transmitter and reviever to stream HDMI out from my eos m mirrorless to a 5.5 feelword external field monitor when I can get around to buying the two I need for virtual production at home and this is perfect with the WiFi remote im not sure if a 5.5inch feelworld monitor will fit in the phone holder addon in thr pack but its nothing a smart mind couldnt over come with a bit of thinking and improvisation this is a perfect addition to my DIY live volumetric capture capable mixed reality studio this not only will allow me to take 360 panos for making 3d modifications ls but it will also help me when I move into 360 light field capture I intend to try and capture a 6dof light field environment to use in virtual reality experiences I was considering an 8k qoocam pocket or a trisio light 2 but they are 300+ and new respectively the qoocam is a dual fisheye 360 and the trisio lite 2 is a rotating motorised head and a single lens camera so sensibly I decided against those when I accidentally stumbled on this while looking at the price of the nodal ninja mecha granted this isn't automated with presets and the rotation is slow compared to the nn mecha based on what I've seen on YouTube regarding the mecha i will be making a review about model I received which it the siphon yt3000 it may also come under other brand names with slightly different extras but all in all by the looks of it they are all the same device just branded under different company names there are reviews on YouTube but they are non English so I will be doing a YouTube review once I get a battery to test if it powers up I have every faith that it will just looking at the flight case I mean £175.65 for such a pro featured bit of kit and the added extras as free you seriously have to consider this when looking for a piano head pay more and more again for nodal ninja mecha which is top of the field or pay half the price for a fully featured device with free add ons chucked in for Good measure I mean seriously you have to consider just the flight case alone is 20-30 quid on its own I paid 175.65 with free postage that was on sale I feel chuffed I got a quality piece of kit for a benefits dwelling vr hobbiest dreamer hoping to create something worth releasing this and my mirrorless camera and free open source panoramic editor Hugin and steam stores piano painter software I should be not only creating models by tracking myself in realtime with the aid of this my eos m hacked with magic lantern an Intel t265 and a vive tracker 2.0 and unity and unreal engine if that setup is good to enough to get a comedy show commissioned by the bcc for a small company from Wales then its Good enough for a middle aged person trying his luck from his home studio definitely would recommend even if it has a problem when I turn it on in two weeks I won't be upset so long as I'm still within my consumer rights time to return for a replacement a refund is out of the question if it is factory defective for any reason I will only want a replacement its instilled me with nothing but confidence and I wouldn't feel stupid pulling this and my eos mout against a nn mecha or even a matterport and considering a trisio lite 2 which is basically a really small sensor and single fisheye lenses and a small rotating pano head motor for 399.99 new I though be sensible ah kid why buy a dual lens small sensor 8k qoocam or single lens trisio when I accidently stumbled on this while pricing up the nodal Nina mecha as an alternative like I said I haven't tested it yet but I do not believe this is going to have a problem as it screams excellent build quality in all but the remotes which look and feel very cheap but seeing as they do not detract from the usage of the device and actually enhance it two cheap feeling plastic remotes and the lack of a battery is not something anyone should be screaming this is total rubbish at the manufacturer overall I am very impressed and looking forwards to testing and reviewing this device for my use cases which is self camera travking using the remote creating a panoramic 360 to create 3d models using meta real stage and or walkabout worlds and (don't tell on me I don't have the pro license but plan to buy standard license and use a cracked pro version of metashape to test the quality of 360 panoramas to photogrammetry software here is a link to a YouTube short showing what is in the flight as on receipt a review will follow as soon as I have a battery to fire it up thanks to the seller for the quick dispatch I didn't need to pay next day delivery I couldn't afford it but it came next day as I may have said though I am in the next region to where it was dispatched from if you are on the border of Scotland it may not get to you as fast unless you pay next day delivery all in all excellent device excellent price a pro look that would hold its own in a room with nodal ninja mechas and or matterport 3d cameras couple this with a fisheye lens and a full frame camera you have an excellent budget priced but not budget featured alternative to nodal ninja mecha and a cheaper while also looking extremely pro alternative to matterport for virtual tours either upload panos to metareal or matterport or use metareal stage or android abandonware known as walkabout worlds and you have an excellent tool for virtual tours hell once I got a couple of batteries I might ask a few friends to let me photoscan their places and approach some real estate letting agents with my 360 tours and hand made 3d models all with a vr app built specifically for the estate agent I wonder if I could generate an income hmmmm it rego looks pro enough to convince me and my tech ludite mate :) defo worth every penny and ill even say more considering the full cost of nodal ninja mecha with optional tilt add on motor defo a purchase im pleased with even it I get unlevky like usual and I've landed on one of the xyz% that may have a manufacturing fault but like I said looking at it and holding it inmy hands im convinced just by looking that if that is the case its just one of those things I would rather wait a month or two or three for a replacement rather than a cash refund as this is a top quality bit of kit at a very affordable price and again the extras like the case and the two remotes just really make it excellent value for money and I believe this is going to fit perfectly in my workflow and production pipeline nice one siphon nice one seller :) would defo reccomend this over the nodal ninja mecha unless the mecha has features you need specifically then this will suffice for sure

This is a remarkable device. I needed motorised, remote pan and tilt facilities so that I can frame a shot for my television work from my broadcasting desk. This seemed to be exactly what I required. It arrived safely and very well packed, and I was surprised by the weight; it’s certainly well engineered! The whole kit came in an excellent flight/equipment case, and exceeded my expectations in every way. I am using it with a Canon DSLR, but the mounting options are versatile and it can accept much heavier cameras.One thing to note: a battery is not supplied, although it’s a standard type and easily sourced. Many users will already have one or more in stock.In short, highly recommended.
