Clarity of Thoughts , Ideas , Anecdotes
I am not a avid reader but i try to complete a book every month and in most of the cases i am unable to complete as i got already busy in my routine office work and i also face diffeculty in diffecult words anyhow reason for buying this book was a Video on youtube where Rajesh ji interviewed Kunal Shah and i really like the way interview being done by Rajesh Ji. I got impressed and got to know he has written a book so i bought it in curiosity and my curiosity turned into joy when i just started to read. Its with so much clarity i cant tell you how much i enjoyed reading this book. I completed this book within 15 days even after being super busy. Most of the anecdotes are of big corporation but its always mentioned right after anecdotes how we can implement that strategy in our organization whatever is the size or even if we dont run any business, being an individual who is doing job or a small proprietorship business. Its a business book but it seemed to me like a fiction story in terms of writer has taken the reader point to point about business. I litreally had laugh on some of the lines such as (Hell hath no fury like a women scorned). I really like the end which literally gives the new vision. A lot can be note down on diary for implementation but better consider this book as reference and use it whenever required instead of taking down note because taking down whole book on a diary is not a good idea.

Brilliantly Written and have enjoyed reading and re-reading this book
The New Rules of Business simply stands out from the genre of business books that have been recently written. Prof Rajesh Srivastav, has been in many ways been an inspiration, mentor, guru to me in my professional life. I had the fortune of attending his classes while at B-School. And reading this book was listening to him once again in his benevolent voice (as it used to be in the B-school classes) and getting led and directed in understanding/making business decisions. This book has beautifully segmented different facets of business that a leader needs to be cognizant off while making business decisions. Each of the chapters has an anecdote, incident or a story that draws out the learning and impinges the same on one's mind. This book serves as a repository for me while I mull over business problems that I encounter in my professional life. Re-reading this book made me feel that I have access to an elixir. I genuinely feel like a Workman with a "Toolkit" to fix business problems...

A modern Panchtantra for today's business
I really enjoyed reading this book. Unlike most books on Marketing, Rajesh Srivastava's book is eminently readable, practical and combines Business and Marketing theory with personal and corporate experience with total ease. Whether it is Customer Relationship Management, how to deal with your employees, branding, communication or business strategy, this book brings all aspects of business home to the reader with total enjoyment. The reader is always a part of Srivastava's business world, always having a conversation with him, so that at the end of each 'rule' one ends up saying "ofcourse!" .And yet, the application of all those rules is so obviously so necessary for business growth in today's hyper-competitiveworld. Another 'Panchtantra'!

Excellent Read! Go get your copy today!
There has been a paradigm shift in the way we conduct business. Not only has technology shaped business models, but the ever-evolving behaviours and expectations from consumers are also impacting organizations’ current practices. 'The New Rules of Business' as the name suggests is an excellent compilation of empirically evolved business strategies that will help you smoothly navigate through modern day challenges. This book is a guidance for those who want to understand the nuances of contemporary business to stay ahead in the league. The 16 Rules are very well explained and elaborated with real life examples drawing powerful insights. I have been very fortunate enough to have attended the author's lectures while pursuing my master's at IIM Indore. Through this work he shares the plethora of industry experiences and knowledge he has acquired all these years. This book is a true treasure and you should grab your copy now.

Review
The New Rules of Business comprises of 16 Rules. Rajesh, the author, has spent his life running companies that created memorable brands. He drives home the lessons that he learnt over the past several decades by using examples and stories. If you are in business a lot of what he writes seems obvious but once you see it laid out in its entirety, implementing everything that he is suggesting requires thinking, thorough research and teamwork.I really liked how he defined the Net Promoted Score and Customer Effort Score to measure how well your brand is creating a loyal following. I also liked how he has defined the Employee Net Promoter Score and Employee Effort Score to determine whether you instill a sense of purpose in your employees. His examples on how companies define their purpose made me go through the exercise of defining mine. I found this exercise invigorating and useful.Lastly, his example of creating an experience using the five senses instead of just providing a product or service is immensely valuable. If you take just one thing away from this book it should be this lesson. Read how Starbucks does it and try to follow their lead.
