Is this product emmissions-compliant in California? For example, if I have this installed on my car, will it pass the visual portion of the smog test?

We sell oil separating catch can kits to Californians every week. None of the products we sell are SMOG Certified however no one has ever returned one for issues related to SMOG.

Great question. The standard adapter that comes on the clean side separator works on all GM vehicles and Ford engines with a displacement larger than their popular 3.5L. We are going to update the listings to reflect all the makes and models we have adapters for. If your engine has a factory valve cover breather line then there's no need for the additional ventilation provided by the CSS (breather cap). The best use of the CSS is in an application where an engine has been modified and requires additional pressure relief. In the next version of the McNall oil separating catch can kits we will no longer include the CSS. Future installation guides and videos will explain this in greater detail.

I put it on my 2015 3.5L EB. Pull a few ounces every couple months. If not sure call them.
