Bought these as No9 corks are recommended for longer aged wines. First point, you need a proper corking machine that compresses the cork to insert these as the hand held machines won't work unless you are Goeff Capes. However, I won't buy these again for one reason. The corks break apart when you insert a cork screw and try to remove them. I've done a few test fits on empty and full wine bottles. Insertion requires practice. Removal with a cork screw is 100% guaranteed to break the cork and leave part of it in the neck of the bottle. I gave away a few bottles of home made wine and everyone commented that these corks were troublesome at best. The last thing you want is cork floating in your glass of your best wine.
