I bought these for our 2013 Subaru Crosstrek as the OEM ones never last and I noticed these were starting to go when we purchased this used vehicle. From owning an Impreza I already knew how to replace these but I didn't want OEM as I went through 3 pair in the 10 years of having an Impreza. These claim to be better. On First notice they are slightly shorter than OEM when fully extended. The bracket/mount is thicker (more stable) than OEM and they have a nicer black finish. Installed one to compare. Instant notice in difference. Even compared to a brand new OEM one this hydraulic raises the hatch much quicker and with a smooth motion. It can ALMOST hold up the hatch with just one. VERY EASY TO INSTALL. You can do on your own, a second person to hold the hatch and move it as needed is better. These come with EVERYTHING YOU NEED for a perfect installation. I used ALL of the new hardware and it looks and works great. You will notice the different in the hydraulic length because the hatch goes up so quickly if you don't guide it at the end it will bounce a little. Worth the money.

Our 2015 Subaru Crosstrek XV started dropping the hatch on our heads this year and I wasn't looking forward to paying obscene amounts of money from the dealership only to have them fail again. Amazon and Rugged TUFF to the rescue though! These match the original OEM exactly for length and how they attach. Everything was included in the kit for replacing all the original hardware, including screws. Install was super easy, only took me about 20 minutes in the freezing cold and I'm not a car guy. I'm pretty sure the hatch works even better than when it rolled off the factory line. We are beyond pleased with the quality of the product, will be buying from this brand again in the future for other needs!

Very easy install, OEM fit. Lifts gate like new. Got 7 years out of the factory struts, hopefully these last at least that long.

These were easy to install on my 2016 Impreza. They work as expected except when the rear hatch approaches the top of the opening it abruptly pops up the last inch or two. Though the supports apparently have plenty of hydraulic pressure, that pressure doesn't exist during the very last part of the hatch opening.

Put these on an Impreza hatchback. They worked perfectly. I can't speak to the longevity of the parts though since I sold the car within a couple of months.

These Lift Gate ( Hatch Back) Supports worked great on my wife’s 2016 Impreza Sport. Easy to install and the price is great!

Easy to install and works well. Make sure to prop the lid open with a board or pole (I used a telescoping pole I had laying around) as you remove and replace each side. These easily lift the gate on their own from half open to full open like the originals did when the car was new.
