Great products!
After receiving all the parts to my order (the Anova Precision Cooker, the Cellar Made Sous Vide Lid and the 12 qt Rubbermaid Container) the day before Valentine's day, I was excited to use it. I was making Valentine's Day dinner for my husband--lobster, filet mignon and asparagus. I was concerned about getting it all prepared to serve at the same time. Everything was easy to set up.The lid fit perfectly and kept the water from evaporating and was easy to remove without taking off the Anova Cooker.The Rubbermaid container is a great size for everyday cooking of chicken, salmon, steaks, etc. I can't wait to try vegetables as well.I highly recommend all three items. However, I ordered the Anova Cooker for WiFi and when I tried to download the app, I got a message that said it was not currently available in the US store (the Apple App Store) even though the instructions point you there and the Anova website directs you there. I emailed me them on 2/13 and have yet to receive an acknowledgement of my email or a response. You can still use the Cooker without using the app, though the point is to be able to control the Cooker without being there. The Cooker did not have very clear instructions on using it but was not too hard to figure out.I first prepared the live lobsters by putting them in the freezer for an hour (puts them to sleep before plunging them into boiling water). Then I prepared the filet mignons which would cook for an hour. I blanched the asparagus for a quick sauté after the rest of the meal was ready. The lobsters took longer than expected to cook and cut up but I new the sous vide Cooker would hold the water at the proper temp for as long as needed. By the time I removed the beef and seared it in my cast iron skillet, the lobster was cold, so I threw the lobster in a zip lock bag and put it in the still warm sous vide water to warm up. While the beef rested after searing, I threw the asparagus into the same skillet and everything was easy to serve!

Absolutely perfect!
I have been using hollow plastic balls to keep the heat from escaping from the top of my sous vide container. Trying to manipulate anything below the surface can become complicated as the balls get trapped between the tongs. I used clips to hold my vacuum packs to the side of my container but I have found the Cellar Made product can be used to trap the edges of my vacuum bags as I snap it on to the top. My hot water runs about 130°F. Trying to get up to higher temperatures, even with the plastic balls, takes quite some time. With my new lid, I was able to get to higher temperatures quicker and in a recent 12 hour cook, the temperature rarely varied more than 1/10 of a degree. I have been hesitant to try spare ribs but thought this might be a great test. They were incredible! The fit of the lid around my Anova sous vide device is very tight and the seal around the edge of my container is spot on. Cooking and clean up is much easier. It gives me a reason to use the device more often.

This is a must have accessory if you have an Anova Sous Vide. There are several DIY tips online to avoid lids like ping pong balls, saran wrap, etc. but they are cumbersome, and wasteful resource wise. The lid itself is made with high quality, and the hole for the Sous Vide fitting is lipped providing for a snug fit around the Sous Vide. It prevents vapor from escaping which will do A LOT for you. 1. It will ensure you don't have any splashes into the vent that some Anova users complain about. 2. It provides a level of insulation which decreases the amount of water loss, and energy needed to maintain the water temperature by protecting the water surface from ambient air (trust me I'm an engineer :P ). 3. It eliminates the need for clips (which I lose a lot) because the lid lips hold the bags just fine!Protect your investment and save some money by buying this. You won't regret it!

The best Anova Sous Vide Lid for Rubbermaid Container
I have the original rubbermaid lid which I decided to cut to fit the Anova Sous Vide and also a different brand with a hinge. My cut lid didn't work that great. The area around the cut is flimsy. This lid by far works the best. The cutout is molded reinforced. It sits snug on the container and the opening is in the middle of the side which I where I have found these lids work best. My only quibble is the opening is at the side with the handle on my rubbermaid container and I would have preferred it be on the other side with no handle. Regardless, it provides a nice tight seal and is ready to handle the container with the Anova sous vide attached. Excellent lid.

Best accessory for your Annova
This thing works wonders! If you're using a 12qt Rubbermaid, this thing is perfect. I like that the hole is in the middle of a side, instead of the corner. I feel that it circulates better this way, whether that's accurate or not. Evaporation is near zero, as the fit is very precise. Installation/removal from the container is a bit difficult as a result of the fit, but you get used to it.

Thick, quality build with a tight fit
This is the second of these lids I purchased because I set the first one on a hot stove top burner... so the only negative I've found about this product is that it will melt if it's owner is a blockhead.The lid makes a very tight seal around the circulator and on the bath container.It can hold the food bags in place with this tight seal which is very convenient if you don't want to bring out the metal hardware to keep the bags from floating around on simple cooks.Most importantly; I have performed a number of multi-day cooks with this lid in place and have NEVER had to add water. SOLD!!!

What a GREAT IDEA!
This is a great cover. I love my sous vide but was trying to use it in a large pot. Finally, after a particularly large number of steaks didn't fit, I figured that someone had to have a better idea. When I found the tub, I was thrilled (and felt a little stupid) but worried about heat loss from the large surface. When Amazon suggested this lead, I was skeptical but decided to give it a try. It fits perfectly. And, it is easy to get on and off. The sellers could not have been better. Well packed, delivered when promised and a great product. Who could ask for more. Oh, and American ingenuity. This is made here - even better.

Cracked in the corners after occasional use. Also arrived warped and did not flatten out with use.
Used on the container that is advertised to work with, tight fit, only applied 'force' to the front corners to fit the lid over the container. And now all the corners are cracked.If it can't stand up to occasional use, every time being removed from the container afterwards, cleaned, and put away, then it cannot be recommended.To add icing to the cake, the product arrived skewed and warped, and it did not 'flatten' out when fit over a container of hot water for a few hours.

Tight seal; job done.
This is a must. It supplies a strong seal around an Anova [I have no clue if it would fit any other sous-vide or any other container other than the Rubbermaid so please don't ask]. If you Ziploc your food for cooking, you can fold the bag top over the top of the Rubbermaid and this lid will close overtop it. If you vacuum seal your food you're all good to go—though you may want to use a submerged divider to keep the food from moving around as the water circulates.]

Fits well
The lid fits the rubbermaid and the Anova very well. I did not read the description well enough and thought the Rubbermaid came with it. The container cost nearly $50 which was more than I wanted to spend in total.The lid really helps with long Sous Vides, there is nearly no evaporation, so you won't have to monitor water levels while sleeping or at work. Would have given the lid a 5 star, but the disappointment I felt when the product arrived without a tub is holding me back so 4 stars it is.

After 8 uses it's useless
Bought this item February 11, 2019. Used it 8 times since. It started with a small crack about 4 months ago and now it's completely cracked and useless. I never put it in the dishwasher and always hand washed and dried. It was never stored it in direct sunlight either. The quality is very disappointing.

Très bon rendement!
Plusieurs modèles existent. J'en cherchais un qui se contrôlait (Bluetooth) de ma tablette électronique. L'application fonctionne très bien. La température est très précise. La cuisson est impeccable. Il s'ajuste bien au rebord d'un récipient. Il n'est pas très bruyant. Ça se nettoie facilement. Je me suis procuré le contenant approprié (Rubbermaid pour Anova) et je l'apprécie beaucoup.
