First rate storytelling!
I loved Ryan and Bethany’s story because of the ranch setting, the love at first sight aspect of the story and because in all my years of reading romance this is only the second book to feature a character who is a paraplegic. Their romance is witty, engaging, compassionate and emotionally compelling first rate storytelling!

What a wild ride
I like this story. It’s a bit dated - hence the four stars instead of five. However, if you don’t mind that, it was at turns sweet, sexy and exciting. Even surprised me a couple of times. Well worth the read.

A Beautiful Heartwarming Love Story
What a wonderful book this was! It's the story of a paraplegic young woman, Bethany, and the man she falls in love with, Ryan, who loves her in return.Bethany's family owned a ranch with horses and she was competing in a barrel race when she was 18 when her horse went down. As a result, she lost the feeling in her legs and her family lost the ranch paying for the surgeries they hoped would let her walk again. Because the injury was below her L2 vertebrae, she retained feeling in certain random areas, such as the inner part of her thigh on one of her legs and her bottom. She's 26 at the time of the story and is working in her family's store when Ryan walks in to complain about a tractor part that hadn't come in yet. One look and he knows she is the woman he's been waiting for. Then he notices the wheelchair...What follows is a truly marvelous story of how far one man will go to show how much he loves his chosen woman. The story also includes multiple descriptions of how a lack of feeling in one's lower half impacts daily life and the struggles Bethany endures to live independently. I won't say any more about the book because I don't want to give away any spoilers. This is the first book I've ever read by Ms. Anderson, but it definitely won't be the last. The book has some graphic sex that is tastefully done and a very limited amount of swear words, but no f bombs. Most delightful of all, there is an actual plot and a well written story. I'm really glad I decided to purchase this book; it was well worth the price.

A Story of Strength
In Phantom Waltz, we meet Bethany Coulter, a paraplegic who lives her life knowing nothing will ever be the same since the accident that took her ability to move from the waist down. When she meets Ryan Kendrick, a rancher who sweeps her off her feet, she's hesitant to become involved, but his patient persistence soon wins her over.I have not read a book yet where the main character is restricted to a wheelchair, but I really enjoyed the way Catherine wrote this story. She obviously did her research on living and being independent with a disability, but more than that, she showed us how love can be won when the odds seemed stacked against you. I loved that the heroine was a real woman with an issue tragically faced by many.Catherine wrote Bethany and Ryan's relationship as a beautiful friendship underpinned by their attraction to each other. The progression of their relationship was thoughtful, steady, and satisfying to read. They moved from friends who adored each other, to lovers who couldn't be kept apart.I have been on the fence about the last couple of Catherine Anderson books, but this one was masterful. I definitely recommend it as an inspirational read.

Proof that love knows no boundaries!
This was a very different kind of romance in that the female character, Bethany, is a paraplegic. When wealthy, handsome rancher, Ryan Kendrick, falls in love with her, the odds are against any kind of a normal relationship. I like the way the author approached the monumental problems. Ryan was able to give her everything but lost her anyway. I won't give a spoiler but I will say that I kept praying for a miracle recovery for Bethany so that she could live a normal life with this beautiful man. It kept me guessing.

Phantom Waltz
In Phantom Waltz, paraplegic Bethany Coulter lives her life knowing nothing will ever be the same since her accident eight years ago that lost her the ability to move from the waist down. Soon, though, she meets Ryan Kendrick, a rancher who sweeps her off her feet and shows her how to really live again. Their life is not without it's challenges; is their love enough to keep them together?I really enjoyed reading this book, the first one I've read where the main character is restricted to a wheelchair. It was really interesting to see how one has to live with a handicap such as this, and I enjoyed reading about a heroine who is not perfect, as it tends to be written in other books I've read.Bethany and Ryan's relationship was beautiful to read, in that though they instantly felt attracted to each other, they focused on becoming friends first before lovers. I really enjoyed the progression of their relationship and reading about how thy so completely adored each other. This is the second time I've read Phantom Waltz, and I think I loved it even more this ti e around. I'll definitely read it again, along with the others in this series. I definitely recommend giving it a chance.

I Love Cathern Anderson's book Phantonm Waltz
I love Caththern Anderson's writings and have read many of her books!!!! But l truely believe this is my favorite one l have ever read!!! That may be period. Not only of her books, but of many of the popular writters!!!! I have been a reader all of my life and l will be 74 my next birthday!!! Romance, wheather it's modern day or regency, doesn't matter to me! It is my subject matter! It's the creativity of the story and how the writter makes it creative, and believeable, thats what matters!!!!! Cathern Anderson did that for me in this book!!!!

So sweet
---Some spoilers-----Loved this book from Catherine Anderson! Such a lovely love story. Especially when you've been imerged in suspense and paranormal romance like I have lately, this is a nice step away from all the major angst. No big obstacles to overcome, no big 'obligatory' misunderstanding that takes up half the book. Having a heroin with a major disability and not have a 'miracle cure' at the end of the book but just a 'cure' because the hero will love her no matter what, it's really great. If you like it when a love story focusses on the two main characters without diverting to secondary characters and plots all the time, this is the one to pick up. Such a sweet read.

Azúcar a raudales!
