Fargo 3D Printing 100565 MakerBot Replicator 2X Silicone Heater Block Kit

I purchased these to replace the stock heater blocks on the MakerBot 2X. These fit all of the stock parts on the MakerBot 2X without any issues. I did not use any additional insulation. (The stock heater block is contained in a ceramic fixture and wrapped in insulating tape) The silicon provides plenty of insulation to keep the heater blocks hot without too much heat spreading to other parts of the printer. I added a bit of a high temperature lubricant to the inside of the nozzles to help reduce wear and promote better prints. This is partly due to my use of highly abrasive materials, such as carbon fiber and copper infused PLAs. The leveling tool worked great and allowed me to easily level the two nozzles when integrating them in the hot end. This is a great product and as part of a full overhaul of my printers hot end it has allowed me to dramatically improve my print quality.

had a clog, tried to remedy, broke the crappy ceramic insulators on my blocksso I got these and installed them.This makerbot 2x has never printed this well, ever. complex build which I would have 1/4 some flaws, now flawless.must be mosre consistent heating due to the silicone I reckon

Did the trick - ceramic covers were brittle and falling apart.

1:1 replacement for the original ceramic insulated nozzle. With the bracket the installation takes less than an hour. Was shipped to Switzerland in 10 days.
