Rub a Dub There's Soup in the Tub!
For my granddaughter's 2nd Birthday I decided to update her bath toys, my idea was toys with no batteries and no squirting 💦, pouring was fine as long as it could be confined to the tiled wall. She is now the happy owner of a few new sets of pour toys with spinners and this Rub a Dub Tub Soup by Alex Toys. The night I added this to the tub she sat for 45 minutes making soup, never looking at her other toys! This set contains a soup tureen (actually a colander), a ladle, a salt 💦 shaker and nine vegetables. The salt shaker is also a squirt toy, matter of fact with the 5 or 6 large holes on top it only takes 1 or 2 good squeezes to get very wet, but I'm hoping those large holes will allow the toy to dry well so we don't develop mold! The soup tureen is perfect for holding the pieces together and with the large holes it doubles as a fast rinsing device. My granddaughter also showed me tonight that in the event of a fashion emergency it makes a very nice hat! The vegetables themselves are great, the colors are vibrant, some will be very recognizable to most kids, they are made to withstand toddlers sharp teeth and they float or stick to the sides of the bath tub. This toy is just a lot of fun and if you have 2 or 3 little ones needing to share there are enough veggies to go around, toss in another bowl or two and a wooden spoon per kid and you are set.I don't buy toys on their ability to teach mainly because every toy is a learning experience to toddlers, this toy does offer more opportunities than some others though. You have color recognition, vegetable recognition, counting, sorting, cause and affect with water play. By adding a few household items like measuring cups and bowls the possibilities are endless! As you can tell I'm pleased with this purchase. I highly recommend Rub a Dub Tub Soup to any home with toddlers. Alex Toys recommends this toy for ages 2 and up, I can see why, this toy is geared exactly to most 2 year olds interests and abilities. Don't let that stop you from purchasing it for your younger or older kiddo, there is something for most with this toy.

Great bath time toys for kids!
These foam toys are great! My 1.5 year old son loves playing with them while he bathes. The strainer is fun to play with and the little ladle is just adorable. My son didn’t know how to hold the ladle at first, but he is an expert at scooping water with it now. The foam veggie pieces sticks well to bathtub and surrounding walls as long as the surface is wet or if the foam pieces are wet. The foam pieces are super light, so we are planning on taking it with us on our up coming trip. Overall, these are great bath time toys for little kids!

Pretty fun set!
My girls like this set mainly because of the salt shaker! It's a cute set. I like the variety of vegetables, but there's not much to do with them other than to put them into or out of the bowl. The bowl itself is pretty neat because it's a sieve/colander. The water goes right through. When it's sitting in the tub it seems like a bowl of soup, and then the kids pick it up and the water rushes out. Since it has so many holes on the bottom, it's a quick rush of water, but I've still had them manage to get it onto the side of the tub in time for plenty of water to leak out over the side of my tub and onto the floor :-( I guess that's something to watch out for!The ladle is fun for them. They like to use it to transfer water from one cup to the next (cups of my own - not contained in this set). But as I've said before, the salt shaker is the most fun. We have a million squeezable water toys that suck up water, but all of our others only have one squirt hole. This salt shaker has many holes on the top just like a real salt shaker. My girls LOVE to spray water using this thing. I think it's such a fun idea. They use it like salt, but they also spray one another and just randomly squirt it in the air, which leads me to my last warning. This salt shaker will squirt water pretty far, and it's quite a bit of water that comes out of the multiple streams! I've had a slippery mess and soaked walls and baseboards when I didn't constantly monitor the girls with it.So the kids will have fun with it, but it does encourage them to move more water around, resulting in more water outside of the tub than many of our other tub toys.

Overall, fantastic toy!
Good bathtub toys are hard to come by. You either get floaty hallow animals that collect mold inside or something lame that kids play with for a minute. Rather than the traditional letters and numbers that stick to the tub, these are vegetables. It comes with a "salt shaker" that you fill with water, which comes out acting as the salt. I have found this toy to have endless possibilities. Whether my child uses the foam pieces to feed to plastic animals, to himself, or me. He lines them up, or puts them in different areas of the tub acting like hes in a kitchen. Selling them to me for "money". The only critique I have is that I wish the bowl didn't have holes in the bottom, or maybe if it came with two bowls. I think they did that to reducing mold or moisture. But my son cannot make "soup" if no water stays in the bowl once it is taken out of the water. (I just toss in a bowl from the kitchen if he chooses to play with this toy at bath time). He does love the rain effect the bowl makes when you quickly take it out of the water though.

Lots of fun! Bath time favorite.
These toys are lots of fun. The vegetables float and they can be stuck on walls so you can pick what veggies you want for soup or sort the veggies. The salt shaker floats too, even when filled with water. You can shake water out or squeeze it out. It's very soft and easy for small hands to squeeze. The "pot" floats also since it has hole in the bottom - it is also handy to rinse off with.My baby has a lot of fun with the ladle! This is a very cute set to learn vegetable names and play pretend cooking. These are durable enough for in or out of the tub. Great buy.

Great bath toy!
This is an awesome little set for the tub. My daughter loves it and I actually use the blue bowl to rinse her hair, it works like a showerhead, win win :) one extra bonus is when the food pieces are wet they stick to the side of the tub, which is fun for my daughter.

Great toy! Hours of fun
My kids love this toy. It’s so fun for them to play with in the bath or in the water table. The foam veggies aren’t my favorite I wish they were more like a bath squirter but they have so much fun with it!

Kid love it
I would have wish that the "bowl" wasn't perforated, or had a way to keep the water in momentarily.
