Anchor Knife with SAPELI Wood Handle: High Carbon Steel. The Anchorknife is an example of the successful symbiosis of old fashion form and function, coupled with simple beauty. The icing on the cake of the pocket knife is the set into the wooden handle anchor made of brass, which gives the handle a special flair. The anchor is firmly riveted to the handle and polished flush. Leather sheath is custom made to the knife in southern Missouri.

Really Impressed!
Note: The description said the item would be a stainless steel blade, but the one I received was carbon steel. For me, at least, I don't mind. It will take on a nice patina, and last a long time with a little bit of extra care.Anyways, on to the knife! They are definitely handmade, and you can really appreciate that; they tend to have a lot of character. The fit and finish on mine was fantastic, and the 'walk and talk' was superb. The back spring was very strong, and gave a good snap when the blade was closed. Everything was flush, and the blade was perfectly centered. The nice wood, steel, and brass materials used certainly make for a very beautiful pocket knife. The brass anchor is set into, and is flush, with the handle scales. The nautical theme and origin to this knife is what drew me to it! The slight 'swayback' feel to the knife makes it very comfortable in the hand, and I was able to get a full four-finger grip on it. Finally, the blade came very sharp out of the box, ready to use! I am very happy with my purchase, and I have a feeling that this traditional pocket knife will get even better with age!

The tough blade is great for heavy duty cutting and the wood handle feels very comfortable. The hand-crafted esthetic gives the knife a rustic look and garners many compliments. Overall a solid work of functional art.
