Awesome stuff - been using it for 6 years
My family and I absolutely love herbal armor. We wore it for the first time several years to an outdoor cultural festival in South Florida during the summer, at night no less! Everyone around us had swarms of mosquitoes attacking them and you could see people literally running to their cars to escape the mosquitoes. We didn't get one bite. Not one. No lie. We ended up using almost a whole bottle that night, because we felt so bad for the other people around us that we let a bunch of people use it. We noticed immediately that although the mosquitoes were swarming near them, they stopped biting, and they were pretty amazed as we were. So we have been buying this every year since then. Especially now with Zika going on in Miami, we have several bottles at the house and at work. I have citronella bracelets and candles but they don't work any near as well as putting this stuff on your skin. Yes, you will smell like a huge Citronella candle, but I'd rather smell like that than get covered in mosquito bites. Personally, I like the smell, so it doesn't bother me. It does give your skin a little sheen, but it's not oily, and I haven't had any reaction for the years. It washes off easily with soap and water, and it even put in on my neck and face, and it didn't clog pores or cause any breakouts. I find that the Kids bottles are a few bucks cheaper, but it's the exact same oz and ingredients, so that's what the whole family uses. I even rub some on my hands and dab on clothing, and it washes out normally. I can't say enough good things about Herbal Armor!

Safe, good for kids, and effective against our mosquitos
We use this with our kids throughout the summer and it works well and is ranked safe in the safe cosmetics database. My husband doesn't like the smell so he won't use it himself, but the kids find it to be perfectly fine and we find that it works well against the mosquitos and we do have a lot of mosquitos. One slight downside is that you spray it on, but then it needs to be rubbed in. It isn't like an aerosol where you can just spray it over the whole skin. It is a slight issue, but makes it just a little less convenient, but overall we are pleased with it and use it for everyday outside use, as well as for camping.

Works!!!
I've bought this for several years since my kids were very small and I use it on kids and adults. I recently bought it for a trip to Costa Rica... it worked like a charm. Walking through the rainforest and I got no bites. I did have to spray my hair and my clothes because the mosquitoes were so aggressive. Another positive is that it works waaaaay past its effective date. My nephew found a bottle that had to be 10 years old and it still worked. The only negative is that it is a little sticky.

Worth the money! Does not smell horribly! Not just for kids.
This product seems to work significantly better than any Cutter or Deet-filled product I have tried. I am a mosquito magnet and will get bites while wearing jeans and long sleeved shirts. This product really cuts down on how many bites I get and my friends have said the same when they used it.The first thing you will notice is that the smell is not remotely close to Deet-filled products. Other bug repellents give me headaches and this one does not. However, there is a thin residue when you apply it to your skin, so if that is not preferable then you may need to find another product. I have not had any issues with the repellent coming off when I sweat.I will go out of my way to find this product if I am hiking or anywhere near standing water. Its use is not limited to kids - I use this as an adult all the time and my siblings do as well.

I'm on my second bottle
Ok, this stuff works. We have awful mosquitos this time of year in San Diego. Before I found this I was being eaten alive while working at my desk. If I put this on every day I do not get bitten. I forgot today and I have several bites. So slapped it on liberally and haven't had a bit since applying it. I recommend it. I have sensitive skin and it does not irritate my skin. I actually don't mind the smell, although it is strong smelling. Recommend this highly.

If you attract bugs the way I seem to, it's not going to work for you, but it is better than nothing.
TL;DR - If you attract bugs the way I seem to, it's not going to work for you, but it is better than nothing.THE GOOD:So it has a semi-pleasant odor if you like the smell of herbs (mainly citronella). It goes on without leaving an oily mess and easily spreads across the skin. It did keep the majority of the insects away, but that's about all the good I can say about it.THE BAD:The fragrance is rather strong, so if you are sensitive to smell, keep it way from the face.Though it did keep insects away, it wasn't far enough. I had a number of bugs bite me within mm of the edge of the spray. It also had a number of bugs buzzing around my head within 1cm of areas that were covered by the spray.THE UGLY:The liquid itself is rather disturbing. I am used to translucent or semi-opaque liquids and gels, but this liquid is completely opaque white. Like glue or whole milk.If you must do DEET-free, it's better than nothing at all. However, it is does not work nearly as well as the Deep Woods or extreme DEET prays, creams, and gels.If you attract bugs the way I seem to, it's not going to work for you.

Works on everything except horse flies. I love it.
Works! Smells strong but not offensive and even asthma/allergies are not irritated by the scent. I wouldn't wear and then walk in to a building, like stopping for dinner on the way home may not be an option but at least you won't smell as bad as the smokers....or those people who think their dog is allowed everywhere....it is a dog, it smells and it does not need to be a in a store or restaurant, that is just gross...it may be a your friend but it's still an animal - not a person. This seems to work well for everything except horse flies, they don't bite but fly around and are annoying. I am not sure about ticks, but we didn't get any one us, so I assume it repels them. Also, it clearly works better when applied every 2 hours, around 3-4 hours it seems to not be effective for us.

Great bug spray for kids however the bottle is not well made
Great for kids bug spray during summer. However the smell is very intense and also the bottle is not very good well made. Otherwise it works good to protect our kids from bugs
