Timber Tuff TMW-28SSS Black Spring Loaded Skidding Tongs, 28 Inch

Immediately feel the quality in the weight. The tongs are easy enough to handle my 16 yr old works them just fine. Once you put the jaws on the log they stay hooked. I have used these to pull and pick up full size logs and the only thing is one tip barely bent but wont bother me. Replaceable tips if I ever do need another. A must buy worth ever penny.

Bites into log really well, a bit heavy, but I think it has to be for what is expected of it.

Awesome! I got bigger than I thought I needed and it still works fine grabbing 10” logs. Had ones prior w/o springs that were constantly falling off, had to hammer them in with a slam. These don’t need any hammering, just a little kick with heel of boot. People who are saying that the spikes need to be welded on, are abusing it. PAY the extra… get ones that are spring loaded and have the spikes. You won’t be disappointed!!!

Great when it works. The bolt that holds it together is extremely week. It stretched and bent after a few average size log pull with a side by side. No word back from customer service. Ended up buying a grade 8 bolt to replace the bent piece.

Nice thought but poor design and engineering. Your paying for the nice green finish.... one of the green teeth bent and now is ineffective and the other popped loose on the first use. Very dissatisfied! Why use rings when you could easily use cotter pins on the green teeth?????

I try to use these tongs to skidd 12 iches and smaller logs with no luck, because the spring separates the tongs to far from each other making them twist of the log when trying to pull it. However, i have not try them on large logs, so they may work for them.

I like the fact the point can be changed and it looks rugged. I wish it had a trip line that I could remove it from my tractor cab but dropping it suddenly may do that.

This product worked very well for moving, loading and off loading logs larger than we thought possible. It didn’t slip and was able to use it effectively on my own. Love it!

These grabbers are Awesomerrrrrrr......used them to grab the wife’s arse and they held on perfectly. I do not recommend this with your wife though, mine didn’t like the pokey things....maybe yours will, who am I to judge??? Totes mcgoats would recommend.

This was used approximately 30 times in less than 11 months. Warranty will only cover manufacturers defect. The tong broke at the "weld" while hauling a log. According to manufacturer, this break is not a manufacturers defect as it was being used in the woods with stumps in the way. Would not recommend using this a as "skidding tong".

As expected, good product, use it for holding timbers in place for bridge railings

These skidding tongs work great. The spring keeps the pins in the log, but it's easy to remove them as well.
