Q: Do the pegs stick out on the pieces that end up being the border of what you put together? Are they easy to remove (the pegs)?

I used a sharp chisel and a rubber mallet to remove the tabs. They popped right off after 5 or 6 light hits. I placed the chisel at an angle to the tabs instead of coming straight down, which helped a lot. Use a cutting board underneath the mat if you have one available. The tabs are hard plastic, not rubber-like material.

Q: Can these be installed over grass directly?

they will not lay flat on grass and you still have to figure out how to keep them together since there are no instructions.

Q: Ho many boxes are needed to cover a 20x12 has 240 SqFt?

for 240 SF you will need 240 pieces.When I got mine they were 6 to a box. therefore for 240 SF you would need 40 boxes.

Q: Can I use in on lawns?

Yes but grass will grow around and through it
