Build quality and fit and finish much higher than I expected for the price. The grinding blend lines aren't as flawless as the original, but are perfectly fine when it's mounted. The action and smoothness of operation are better than the $400 set it replaced. Even when new, the Weiser it replaced was never silky. I spent a lot of time with a drill and chisel to make sure the alignment of the latch plunger bolt on the Weiser was straight and square. To no avail. After removing it I realized that even out of the mortise, it was sticky with a very unsatisfying action.This one, very slick and smooth with a pleasantly positive spring feel in handle rotation. We'll just have to see about durability. But as I said, it seems well built and sturdy.So glad I decided to try cheap. Mainly because it's a 20 year-old white oak clear finish door and needs stripping and refinishing to correct sun damage. Not sure I'm up for that and didn't want to throw out a now $500 lockset with the door when it's time for a new door.

Very pretty design for our front door.

I did not like no instructions, the handle hole was about 3 inches lower. as a door knob it worked well. because of no instructions i would not buy again.

I screwed up when I chose this. (I can't install it, so I can't answer to it's ease of installation.) I screwed up because I misinterpreted the dimensions and thought this was hardware for a standard size front door. That error is my own, and I deduct no stars for it. It just impedes my ability to assess the installation ease, and it also means I'm going to emphasize the large size to help protect others from my error.If you need Large Handle for a Large Door, I'd recommend this. It's heavy, sturdy, seems well constructed, and it's a lovely design. It's extremely well packaged and it comes with a reasonable amount of instruction.This seems to be a well constructed piece of hardware, and it looks even nicer in person than it does online. It's just large. If you need something for a large door, I'd recommend. If you want to try something else from this brand, I would recommend. But, if you want to replace hardware on a standard size home, this will be too large.

This handle set is beautiful...heavy, gorgeous finish, elegant design. Beats all others in quality AND price!

This is a great handleset. I wanted to match my 22-year-old set as closely as possible. I couldn’t find a match at Home Depot or Lowe’s. Amazon came through once again. The quality is excellent and it looks very elegant on my solid oak door. It was also reduced 8%, so the price was right.

Needed a handset for our new door and this really fit the bill! Heavy, well made and beautiful. Really love the oval handle on the interior. Baldwin may cost a little more but the quality is well worth it. My family was really impressed.
