Not the cheapest brand available on Amazon, but this is, as far as I can tell, real paracord. All nylon, 7 internal strands and a tightly woven sheath. All the cut ends melt nicely with a flame, and merge well, no fraying or burning. I haven't tested it to 550lb, but easily held 200kg. It arrived bang on time, well packaged, and as a properly rolled hank. Would definitely buy again. NOTE: I only gave this 4 * for durability, because I've only had it for a week. Will alter the number of stars if required after I see how it stands up to the weather here in NE Scotland.

Lengths are generous, a bit stiffer cord - that's useful.

Solid paracord. Sealing the ends can be tricky but does the job.

I added a loop of bright yellow paracord to my luggage to make it easier to identify quickly on the airport belt. To stop cut ends fraying I melted them using a small flame. Just make sure to let them cool before handling.
