Within less than 24 hours we could see some improvement. We also used a rake to remove some of the alge. Our water was always cloudy but it is starting to clear. We had some alge in the past but between my wife raking some of it out and our dog that played in the pond several times a week it was kept under control. This year the moss is really bad due to the extreme heat and the loss of our dog. We have bought a second gallon and applied it today because we under estimated the size of the pond. Even with that said we are seeing results.

Our small fish pond has algae clouded water. I've been adding the barley extract and the water has slowly gotten a little clearer. I believe it'll take more time although I don't know for certain how clear the water will ultimately get.

I recently upgraded my duck pond to about 50 gallons. Nothing crazy. But I wanted to keep the water as clean as possible between cleanings. I wanted something both safe for the ducks and the fish. And this stuff really helps. It works best if you have a fountain fixture that helps circulate it around. I use 1/4 cap and clears the murky water back up in a few hours. I can only apply this 2-3 times before the water gets so bad. I have to clean it out again. But helps alot in between cleanings. Also going to add crayfish later.Awesome stuff. Highly recommend.

It doesnt stop the string algae grouth but it does slow it down

I had my suspicions that this was not going to work. I ordered the small bottle, used as directed and waited. It took about 3-4 weeks to start working and once it did we can now maintain the algae with this product. I am absolutely delighted that this works with our type of algae and not have to use a harsh product. We have a ton of birds, and other wildlife that use our fountains and needed a safe product. I am now confident to purchase the larger size.

Takes a couple of days, but works.

All of these barkey extracts are rather expensive. Everywhere.This one is comparably priced and seems to work well.

Does a good job of keeping the pond scum in check.

Have never been able to find anything that works as well as crystal clear barley extract! Excellent product
