Works for what it is
I love it. I put it on the trunk lid just behind the rear window on my Crown Vic. Does the job, and the positioning keeps it firmly seated and safe from falling off at speed.

You are going to have a second system to keep them on!
So strong is subjective! I put them ( I bought 2 ) on my Tahoe to cover the wholes left when the antenna’s were removed, and they were barely holding on! They look great and with the help of some gorilla glue & a couple of bricks I think they will work out ok! I probably wouldn’t recommend them unless you don’t mind a little glue!

As the title states, this is not a strong magnet. I had to use additional mounting hardware to get it to stay. It won't even stick to a fridge and stay on place!
