1.) What type of metal is the chain/clasp made of? 2.) Is it sweat/waterproof for more than 6-12 months?

I’d love to help but my son has only had it for a few months. As far as clasp, it appears to be a silver colored metal material but isn’t marked as if it’s real silver. After months of wear, even in the ocean, it’s not tarnished though! Hope this helps!
