Worth every penny
This awning saved our recent week of offroad camping. It works really well as designed but we used it on the ground sideways (like a curved wall) to block the cold wind as we huddled around an LP firepit. Once staked down, it can handle an impressive amount of wind. I only wish we'd had another one to block the wind from 2 sides! It goes together in about 2 minutes and back down just as quick. It packs away nicely in a small bag. I replaced the cheapo guyline ropes with 550 cord and I haven't messed with the suction cups. I love the versatility. This trip wasn't the first time we used it but with a little creativity it really shined on a couple of cold, windy nights. Every other member of our group vowed to get one of their own before our next adventure.

Suction cups dont work.
I love the unit but the suction cups never work. I have to tie it on. Other than that its perfect

perfect for car camping
Bought this so I could car camp in the rain with windows partly down and sun roof open for ventilation. Very easy to put up, love that you can adjust it to 3 levels of height. I did buy gorilla tape to put on the places where it looked like the poles might rub (better to anticipate a problem than to have to deal with one), and I bought "real" stakes to use since the flimsy ones it comes with don't look like they will hold up. Slept 2 nights in wind and rain with nary a drop of rain in the car. It looks really snazzy too! Very pleased with this purchase!

Just what we needed for our pop up camper!
We bought a used pop up camper and the OEM awning was no longer usable. Replacement awnings from Jayco ran almost $1,000 so I bought this bad boy instead. Boy am I glad I made that decision. I use a few bungee cords to attach it to the top of the camper because the suction cups don't work on the rough surface of the camper roof. Assembly and tear down are pretty straightforward and everything fits easily in the supplied bag. However the absolute best quality about this awning is its ability to stop the rain. We just took it out for the first time in the wild after setting it up once at home. During our camping trip it rained HARD for 12 hours straight. Our Coleman canopy was dripping everywhere and even the canvas on the pop up was starting to soak through. Not this awning though! Not a single drop during the entire storm. We woke up in the morning with a dry area in front of the camper door which was a huge relief.I definitely recommend this awning if you are looking for a replacement camper awning at a fraction of the price.

A bitter disappointment
In theory, I liked it. But even the best ideas, when made with shoddy material, won't work. I have a picture the first time I used it, and it already had holes in it. But they were minuscule mostly, and I decided to overlook it because I wanted to go freaking CAMPING. Big mistake. This week I took my 91 year old dad camping and the thing just would not cooperate. You would get the suction cups affixed, and the poles would come apart. So you put the poles back together, and the suction cup popped off. It made me want to cuss, and almost made me hate camping. This week the seams ripped and it wouldn't hold the poles and so I trashed it and felt good doing it. But no product should make a person hate camping, and this one about did it, I'm sorry. You can do whatever you want, but I wouldn't buy this again, no way.

Buyer beware - Poor quality
Used for one week at the Burn and at first it appeared to be well made and what i was hoping for. When i went to pack it up I found all the inside loops had peeled the waterproof tape away… I didn’t even USE these loops so basically the sun and wind peeled the tape. I don't expect it to last but I’ll tape it up and cross my fingers.

This was fantastic for dog trial event! Amazon restock, since others who saw ours wanted one too!
I go to a lot of dog scent work, agility and tracking dog trials. We are always camped out in the outside waiting our turns to enter a trial. In summer sun, heat or rain can be a real problem. This kept us, three people, our chairs etc. little table dry during a day of heavy pouring rain even with very gusty winds and kept up cool the next day when sun beat down on us and even with continuing strong wind it held firm. Great that the hatchback was open so kept our gear dry and dog could remain in car with air and shade too even though then car windows had to be shut. I have a small Honda Fit so lugging my big heavy EZ up and including it in the car with all my other gear difficult especially if I am alone just too heavy. This fit in may car easily. The first time setting this up the three of us figured it out mostly because I watch a Youtube video. The instructions you get are not great. I know we did not properly use the little string holder. Instructions not clear about that at all. Another reviewer pointed out suction devices were not good and recommended getting another brand instead. I did that... and got iRomic Heavy Duty Vacuum Suction Cups Hooks (4Pack).. glad I did they were better then the ones in the bag that fell of windows... (thanks to that reviewer for that tip). We only set our poles up to height of Three rather then 4 high due to landscape and it was plenty high for tall teenager to enter in and out and seemed a nice height. Wish I had taken a photo to include. It comes with two bags to fill with sand. I did not want to haul sand. I brought some small heavy workout dumbbells I could drop into the bags bit we did not need them and relied on strings to stakes in the ground. I also got a pack of assorted velcro straps in case. Figured if we need more pole weight I could velcro gallon water jugs by their handles to the poles. Dog people always have at least two water jugs along with extra water for dogs... more worth the space in car then sacks of messy sand. Hope this helps. Others at the trial took a picture of this so they could get one for trials too!
