The overview: this is a really great, big 3D printer that is a terrific value for the price -- which could use a couple of tweaks!The good: At the current (11/2020) price of $339 ($389 plus $50 off coupon), this is a great value.The printer came well-packaged, with no damage and everything in place. It is almost entirely un-assembled, so if this is your first 3D printer beware of that. It's not hard to assemble, just take your time and use the instructions and videos included on the SD card that came with the printer, and you'll be fine. This is my second 3D printer, and I had it all assembled in about 20 minutes.The parts are well-made and high-quality. I had no bent parts, stripped threads, or anything of the sort. Everything fit together nicely, with two minor exceptions noted below. I was up and printing within 30 minutes.The initial print quality of the bunny model included on the SD card, with some orange PLA I already had, was very good. No stringing, almost no visible layer lines, and really good performance on overhangs. I was impressed!The updated version with the direct-drive extruder is very nice to have, and is easy to load/unload filament. I've had no issues with the extruder slipping/skipping. I printed the very large vase in the photos with some rainbow PLA I had, sliced in Cura, and it printed great with no issues. And it's big!I included a photo of the printer side-by-side with my existing Ender3 Pro (converted to direct-drive extruder), which should give you an idea of just how much bigger the build volume is on the Pyramid. Yet with that large size, the included triangle-braces do a good job of stabilizing the printer.The UI is simple and easy to use, and the touchscreen is very nice. The MKS Robin Nano 1.2 32-bit control board works great, and the "silent" TMC2208 drivers on the X and Y axis (it uses non-silent stepper drivers for the Z axis and the extruder) mean this thing is really, really quiet when printing. The only sounds I hear are the fans and a tiny bit of noise from the extruder pushing/retracting.I added a BLTouch auto-bed-leveling sensor to mine (see photos) -- installation was simple, and the ToAuto support team emailed me installation instructions and the proper firmware (though the firmware was already on the SD card included with the printer). That all works as expected, and removes the somewhat tedious manual leveling that needed to be done before each print.What could be better:My printer came with a green 3D-printed mount for the filament runout sensor. Which is fine...but everything else is red-accented. So I used the bit of red PLA they included with the printer to print out a red one (the .stl file for the mount is on the SD card).The left-hand mount for the Z-axis limit switch that came with mine was the same as the right-hand mount -- which is backwards. When mounted as it came, it hit on the angled part of the X-axis bar mount, and so wouldn't trigger properly. Fortunately .stl models for improved Z limit switch mounts are on the SD card, so I printed one out for the left side (in white, see photos), and used it to properly mount the Z limit switch. All good.The glass build plate that comes with the printer is OK...but print adhesion isn't the best. I had to use a fair amount of glue stick before prints to get them to stick well. So I spent $15 to get a Creality CR-10 textured glass bed -- much better. Prints stick great now with no glue needed.I will probably build a newer version of the firmware myself, since the printer uses Marlin 1.x and there is Marlin 2.x available for the Robin Nano 1.2 board in the printer. I do kind of miss all of the settings adjustments you can do in Marlin 2.0 right on the printer without having to edit config files or use Pronterface to "talk" to the printer over the USB cable. But honestly, other than trying new firmware, getting the Creality build plate, and adding a BLTouch, there's really nothing else to do to this already fine printer. It's already run a 16-hour print without batting an eye, and it's proving to be well-built, durable, reliable, and really really fun! I've got my eye on a full-sized Mandalorian helmet to print on this big guy soon...So overall, it's a really good printer at a really good price. The ToAuto people have been great to deal with, there are only a few very minor quibbles with the printer, and the print quality is outstanding on everything I've printed. I'm a happy customer.

The media could not be loaded. This is my 3rd printer. I have a longer orange 30 resin and an ender 3. I must say this printer has become my favorite. The large build plate is amazing. I was sceptical of this printer as I am not familiar with the brand and since it is relatively new, there is not much of a community out there yet.The build was kind of challenging. They do include a manual and video for the build on the included sd card, but there were still some gray areas. I have never had much luck using glass build plates, but this one was great , no tape or glue was needed. I purchased a magnetic build plate, but have not installed it yet as the glass is working so well. The machine is very quiet. The direct drive awesome and works well. They did change the filament holder to the standard frame type. They were using a stand alone plastic type.. the printer is so big, that I was worried about where to put the spool holder, lol.My first print was the inluded rabbit on the sd card. It was nearly perfect. I needed to tighten the build plate belt and adjust the build plate wheels. The next print was perfect!I would definitely recommend this printer. I do plan on adding the auto level feature. They have even added the firmware update that enables this on the sd card.As mentioned the build was kind of challenging. If you take your time and be able to think a little bit on your own, you will be fine. This is not a quick build kit.. the function and build size more than makes up for this!UPDATE-. Still loving this printer! Toauto has great customer care. They have answered every question I have asked within a few hours. When asked how to install the BL touch sensor, they sent ma a full video and firmware update ( the firmware bid also on the included sd card). They sent me a full roll of filament within seven days of registration on their Facebook page. I even received an envelope last week with a bunch of nozzles and some extra screws, which was a total surprise! The video attached is the BL touch bracket being printed out.

The X-axis belt is too short, there is no way to assemble the X axis after multiple attempts and stretching the belt to the maximum extent. I bought another belt to cut to length, but of course there is no way to crimp the belt ends as it should have been from the factory. So I had to use zip-ties there.I then discovered that the M5 T-nuts supplied are the wrong size, they are too small to thread onto the corresponding screws. There is one M5 T-nut in the spare parts bag that is the correct size, proving that the kit was prepared incorrectly. Now I have to order the correct T-nuts.$30 additional out of pocket to address their bad kit preparation.

Over this is a pretty good affordable printer for the volume size. I have put a few hundred hour of filament through it and for the most part have had good success. I only gave it 4 stars because i have had issues printing with PETG. I have to set the printer nozzle to 250 degrees to get a successful print on all of the PETG filaments I have used, (manufacture setting on the filament recommend not going over 240) even then I still have had far more failed prints than I have had printing with PLA. It is very stable and once you can get the bed level (beds this size are a pain) you can move it and it will still be level. So far I am happy with my purchase of this printer. One last thing, it uses a Robin Nano board with TMC 2209’s for the X and the Y axis but the cheap 4988’s for the dual Z and extruder. If this printer would have came with all 5 drivers being the TMC 2209’s I may have leaned more to that last star, considering that the firmware is closed source and you have to try and get it from them to upgrade those drivers.

La première imprimante que j'ai achetée fonctionne très bien, j'en ai commandé une deuxième dont le moteur de l'axe X ne fonctionnait pas. Je l'ai retournée, c'est l'avantage avec Amazon le retour des marchandises est très simple. Je dirais que c'est une version améliorée de la CR10 V3 dont certaines imperfections sont corrigées. l'imprimante est plus compacte que la CR10 V3 et comme la boîte de contrôle et le PSU sont fixés sous la machine elle est plu facile à déplacer. L'écran tactile en couleur est fonctionnel et facile à utiliser, il y a plusieurs choix de langues. La machine est très silencieuse ce qui est un avantage quand vous travaillez dans la pièce où elle est installée. Le détecteur de filament est mieux situé, mais je vais imprimer une pièce pour l'éloigner un peu plus de l'extrudeuse. Cette fonction est bien pratique pour les grosses pièces qui demandent plus d'un kilo de filament. L'écran tactile disparaît sous le plateau lorsque celui s'avance, cela complique l'utilisation de la fonction de nivellement mais ça demeure faisable. Le plateau de verre que j'ai reçu avec la première imprimante n'est pas parfaitement plat, il y a une petite dépression au centre. Comme je l'ai achetée pour imprimer des grandes pièces qui prennent tout le plateau, j'utilise celui de ma CR10 qui est droit. Ça prend un peu moins de 3 minutes pour que le plateau atteigne 60 degrés celcius, ce qui est bien.Dans le vidéo on nous montre comment créer le profil pour l'imprimante dans Cura, mais ce n'est pas nécessaire de le faire. J'ai préparé mes fichiers en utilisant le profil de la CR10 existant dans Cura et j'ai seulement modifié la rétraction à 3 mm. Ça marche très bien.

Das war mein erster 3D Drucker überhaupt, ich hatte daher überhaupt keine Vorkenntnisse zu diesem Thema. Mich hat vor allem die Druckgröße angesprochen, da ich als Modellbauer auch gerne mal größere Objekte drucken wollte. Bisher habe ich ausschließlich mit PLA gedruckt.Der Drucker kam schnell und sehr gut verpackt, es waren alle Teile in einem passenden Schaumstoffbett eingelagert, sodass sich wirklich nicht auf dem Transportweg bewegen konnte. Zugegebenermaßen ist man am Anfang von der Menge der Teile schlichtweg wie erschlagen.Der erste Drucker war leider defekt, er konnte nach 1 1/2 Probedrucken kein Filament mehr nachziehen. Ich habe ihn zurückgeschickt und einen neuen erhalten, welcher auch problemlos läuft.Wenn man den Aufbau gemeistert hat (es hat bei mir knapp 3 Stunden gedauert), dann macht der Drucker was er soll. Die Druckqualität ist meiner Meinung nach gut, wobei ich wie gesagt keine Vergleichserfahrungen habe. Mein größtes Objekt war bisher 23 cm hoch und im Radius etwa 16 cm breit, das hat er ohne Murren und Maulen und ohne Qualitätsverlust gegen Ende geschafft. Wie es sich verhält, wenn man das Druckvolumen maximal ausreitzt, kann ich noch nicht beurteilen.Bezüglich seiner Druckgeschwindigkeit kann ich aufgrund mangelnder Vergleichswerte nichts sagen, die von Cura berechnete Druckzeit hält er jedenfalls nicht ein, sondern braucht etwa 2 Stunden länger.Im Hinblick auf die Lautstärke würde ich ihn als sehr leise bezeichnen. Das einzige was man permanent hört ist der Ventilator, der in etwa der Lautstärke eines in die Jahre gekommenen Computers entspricht.Was mir ebenfalls gut gefällt ist das wirklich bedienungsfreundliche Display (in deutscher Sprache), bei dem alles selbsterklärend ist. Damit konnte ich auch ohne Vorerfahrungen sehr schnell mit den Probedrucken beginnen.Ganz besonders loben möchte ich den versprochenen Support, der ist wirklich klasse. Bei meinem ersten (kaputten) Drucker wurde mit Hilfe von Videos und Bildern kommuniziert und das Problem recht schnell ausgemacht. Dafür gab es vom Support klare Anweisungen, was ich versuchen soll, in Verbindung mit sehr detaillierten Videos. Dass der Drucker letztlich nicht funktionierte, war sehr schade aber dafür konnte der Support nichts. Für meine Umstände habe ich dann eine Rolle PLA geschenkt bekommen. Das Deutsch ist manchmal etwas unsauber, aber ich habe trotzdem alles zu dem recht speziellen Thema verstanden. Zur Not wird die Nachricht auch noch auf Englisch mitgeschickt.Die negativen Punkte, die bei meiner Bewertung zu einem Stern abzug geführt haben, möchte ich natürlich auch nicht verschweigen. Zum einen ist der Aufbau wirklich eine Herausforderung, trotz Anleitung, Video und Erfahrung mit dem ersten Drucker habe ich auch beim zweiten Drucker noch etwa 2 1/2 Stunden gebraucht. Das sollte man sich als Einsteiger doch gut überlegen, allerdings habe ich es ja auch geschafft. Der zweite Punkt ist die versprochene Funktion, dass der Drucker bei einem FIlamentbruch an Ort und Stelle weiterdruckt, sobald Filament nachgereicht wurde. Bei mir war es so, dass bei einem Druckobjekt nach etwa 12 Stunden das Filament aus unerklärlichen Gründen gebrochen ist. Der Drucker hat aufgehört und sich in Anfangsstellung gebracht. Als ich das FIlament nachgereicht und auf "Erneuern" geklickt habe, legte der Drucker tatsächlich an Ort und Stelle wieder los, nur leider gute 7mm über dem Druckobjekt. Die Folge: ein schönes Knäul auf dem Objekt, keine Möglichkeit das Objekt ordentlich weiterzudrucken. Das war nach 12 Stunden bisheriger Druckzeit sehr ärgerlich.Mein abschließendes Fazit: Für Druckerfahrene, die gerne mal größere Objekte drucken, ist das ein sehr schöner 3D Drucker, für Einsteiger ist er allerdings eine (machbare) Herausforderung.

Der Zusammenbau ist nur äußerst unzureichend dokumentiert. Ich habe mehr als eine Woche für den Zusammenbau gebraucht, bis ich endlich die beiden begefügten Modelle ausgedruckt bekam - diese allerdings dann ganz hervorragend!Ich finde im Netz kein Forum, in welcher ich mir über meinen Pyramid-Drucker Infos hervorholen kann, was sehr bedauerlich, für mich sogar bedrückend ist.

Der Druker kam bei mir gut verpackt an. Alle Teile sind in Schaumstoff verpackt, damit beim Transport nichts beschädigt wird. Werkzeug wie Innensechskantschlüssel und Maulschlüssel sind auch mit dabei. Eigentlich kann der Zusammenbau direkt starten. Jetzt kommt das große ABER: Die Aufbauanleitung ist der größte Schrott, den ich je gesehen habe. Wer nicht etwas mechanisches Verständnis hat, wird an der Aufbauanleitung scheitern und so die Lust an einem - eigentlich ganz guten - Einsteigerdrucker verlieren.Den Aufbau habe ich mit meinem Sohn zusammen in etwa 90 Minuten hin bekommen. Das Nivellieren des Druckbettes habe ich mie 80g Kopierpapier durchgeführt und das Bett so nivelliert, dass man das Papier gerade so noch zwischen Düse und Bett hindurchschieben kann. Dank des mitgelieferten Filaments waren auch die ersten Erfolge rasch sichtbar.Im späteren Verlauf hat sich gezeigt, dass die Kühldüse, die das frisch gelegte Filament kühlen soll, alles andere als optimal ist. Daraufhin hab ich mir selbst die passende Ringdüse gedruckt. Ich drucke PLA in der folgenden Konfiguration: Düse 200°C, Bett 50°C und Druckgeschwindigkeit 60-80mm/s.Die Lautstärke des Druckers ist soweit in Ordnung, einzig der Lüfer des Hot-Ends ist im Vergleich sehr laut.Alles in allem ist der Drucker bedingt für Anfänger geeignet. Lediglich die Bedienungsanleitung und der Verweis auf Support-Möglichkeiten lässt stark zu wünschen übrig. Hier muss der Hersteller dringend seine Hausaufgaben machen. Realistisch dürfte der Drucker so nicht im europäischen Wirtschaftsraum - Stichwort CE - in den Verkehr gebracht werden...
