Received mine without a power cable. Manual lists it as an option? Did yours come with a cable?

Mine had no power cable either. Also, the default IP as listed on the sheet of paper with it was wrong. After a factory reset, mine comes up on 192.168.1.100, which is neither the address on the enclosed sheet of paper, nor the address in the online manual.

There is a Timer, yes, however the LOG, I am not sure, I do not seem to remember that.

can you turn off a device remotely?

It depends on what you mean by remotely. This device gets an IP address on your network. So from within your local/home network you can access it and turn any of the power ports on or off. If you wanted to access this from anywhere, you'd need a way to VPN into your local/home network and then be able to reach this device.
