Handmade European Wooden Chess Set with 16 Inch Board and Hand Carved Chess Pieces

This is the nicest chess set I have ever seen. The craftsmanship is amazing especially for the price. Some people complain about the weight of the pieces being light but I find them heavy enough. The only downside is the pieces fall out of they re appointed slot when closed inside the board. But I took a piece of foam from a package, cut it to size and lay it on top of the pieces before I shut the board and they stay put. Very very happy with my purchase. Very high quality especially for the price!

Quality is great, and it is a beautiful set. There are slots for the pieces, but they fall out when opened. I would have preferred it to have been sent inside a regular box as this was/is a gift for my son and you handed it to him, where he could clearly see what it was. THANKS :(

two part pieces(king and quean are attached unevenly and don't look good to me) queen crown was came off her head needed to glue them back. The box lock fixture is loose and is not secure and opens up itself. Cheap quality.i love the great size and looks very nice. A bit pricy for the quality.peices are not heavy enough .overall i like it.I wish they could include 2 extra qeens.

I bought this as a birthday present for my 11 year old grand daughter and she just loves it! It is really a very beautifully crafted and yet practical wooden chessboard set with decent size pieces The felt underside of pieces is really very thoughtful touch. I cant wait to play with my grand daughter when I see her next.

Great quality wooden board and pieces for the price. Feels very authentic. Only complaint or flaw is that the felt interior for holding the pieces is just a junk piece of thin plastic. But probably don’t need it anyway. Also does not come with any instructions, but those are easy to find on the Internet (in the event you haven’t mentally retained that information over decades and want to teach your kids properly...). Very happy with the game top and pieces.

Got this for my mom after we got into the queens gambit together. I really wanted a set for her that was nice quality. It’s really beautiful there’s a lot of little carved details into the board and the peices I’m very happy with it.

I gave this to my 26-year old son who recently returned to his love of chess. He also enjoys woodworking so he wanted a wide set. He lives in a small space so I wanted to give him something small and transportable. The set was very nice and he was happy with it.

delivery driver left this chess board on top of my trash can in the rain. even though i have a large wooden box next to the trash can which is labeled for packages
