EVE: The Second Decade Collector's Edition - PC/Mac

This is very nice for all the goodies (mainly electronic) you get with it (but for the money - you should). One thing that really drew me to the collector's edition was the Rifter USB hub. It's pretty nice, but it is made of cheap plastic, and I don't feel confident enough in the quality to actually use it as a USB hub. It does look cool though. ;)

The only thing that I have really used so far is the codes. That was really why I bought it. I really haven't looked at anything else in the box yet. What I do like is that they have said to me in an e-mail that I am a card carrying member of the secret code and they will let me know how to claim more items in the future. You get two codes for Eve. One gives you items you can claim right away and they were just okay to me. I don't want to say that items were bad its just that some of them were good and others to me were not so good. I just don't see a use to some of them at the moment. The other one is a collector edition mystery code and there are going to be items in the future that you will be able to claim. I am hoping that I have set myself up for some good items in the future. If you really play eve then this is really a buy for you because of the potential of some good things in the future and there might be some other benefits that I just don't see yet. There are also codes for Dust 514 and a Cd in there with Eve music on it which I have not listened to yet

A great collector's item for any Eve aficionado. The book is of high quality. The USB Rifter hub was surprisingly made of plastic and one has to be careful handling it. The model details were a nice touch but the quality of the material does not lend to day-in and day-out use. I would use it as a nice model and leave it at that.As for the Danger Game, I have not read the rules but may during my holiday break.The audio compact disk was a nice touch and all of the in-game items are nice and have value within game (1 PLEX, Golden Pod inplant which stays with your character even when podded and can be removed, Dust 514 items).If you have a the money and are so inclined, I would pick one up.I am not going to comment on the game itself. If you are considering purchase of this item you already know about the game.

I love the Game, just not a fan of the way the criminal system works. Lost most all of the items moving them to sell at a High Security hub. Should have moved character to the hub before collecting the items in game. My mistake, but CCP does nothing even in the High Security areas to protect new players. The person that got my items was back the next day to do it again with no loss where as I lost 4 Billion in game currency on an account less than 30 days old. I was told after the loss that you have to make a secure jump point into a station before you can get in and there is really no safety in that just improves your chances. I closed the account and informed CCP of the reason they have made no comment. Not sure what they will do when only the criminals are left in the game. Really would like to play, but not really seeing it at this point really a shame.

Are you the type of guy or gal who knows what a "high security carebear" is? Do you believe that you can say the word "bubble" angrily? And, most importantly, do you consider yourself a fan of the game EVE: Online?If you answered yes to any of these questions, (mostly the last one), this box-set may be just for you. It comes in a high quality, hefty case, with beautiful packaging. The actual contents are fantastic; the USB hub Rifter seems a bit poorly made, but it still looks beautiful if you aren't trying to fly it around. The Danger Game is a fantastic alternative to Monopoly, and the build quality is superb. The CD is well done, and the in-game item codes are fantastically useful, for all 3 games. (Yes, 3.) And, most of all, the 192 page book is beautiful, heartwarming, and amazing to read. It isn't just a simple art book; it is a work of art in and of itself.

I still get this out from time to time and reminisce about my Eve days. Or Eve eves I guess lol. Originally bought deeply discounted to where the game time was worth the same as the price of this set so ofc I was going to buy it. Years later I still walk past my rifter on display in my home.

The only CON is the rifter USB 2.0 Hub, which is seen by Windows 7 & unknown by Windows 8. It's more of a static display until I can find a usb 3.0 hub to fit inside of it. The book is pretty awesome from a quick scan of it. The CD is pretty cool too and to know that the icelandic symphony wrote a special symphony for EVE online is pretty cool too. The digital items are good for iskies in the market, lol. My mystery code gave me a 30 day plex plus your choice of a cybernetic arm which I sold for 1 bil isk. The 60 day Timecode that was for a new acct has changed a bit. Now you can use it to extend your own acct 60 days or activate a 14 or 21 day trial acct to Full status plus the 60 days. I did not learn this until I activated it.

I am disappointed in Amazon. After purchasing this item on their product page and it stating I would receive my code to redeem my digital items, I could not get customer service to understand that the digital items were not promotional items and that they owed me a code. I never got anything. I returned the C.E. And ordered it from the Eve store with no issues.

If you are an EVE fan this is an excellent piece of memorabilia. The additional in-game items are an added bonus.
