Quilled Animals: 20 cute animals to coil and shape Paperback – May 15, 2020

A little bit more challenging than the books for beginning quillers. But once you get over the intimidation factor of being a little bit harder to do and you actually complete a project, the feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction is wonderful. I made the mouse and when I started it, I didn't think I would be able to do it but the instructions were clear enough and I am very proud of my 3d mouse.

My daughter loves this book but there are 2 thing you should know and consider before buying.My daughter has been quilling for years but she learned to quill and use a certain quilling tool called a circle shape board. This book does not utilize that tool which many people tend to use so she has to wing it as to what size circle in the board to use because of the way she learned the papers always unroll way to big without using the shape board so not having the circle shape board instructions is a problem if you are new and using that tool. It is more time consuming having to figure it out.The second thing is unless you have had experience in quilling this book can be a little overwhelming for some of the projects because there are so many components and she discovered in the Giraffe project the creator DOES NOT give you the measurements of the papers for the triangles that you use in the belly of the Giraffe but you can clearly see them when you take a good look at the picture. Thankfully she has done quilling enough she was able to figure it out.Now for the good parts! This book has great pictures and very good instructions! The best part is that the author put the measurement of the strips in both centimeters and inches! Overall its a great book the problems listed above are just what she thinks people should know before purchasing the book. But otherwise very happy with it.

The book has great pictures to know what you are creating. The author gives great dimensions on the size of paper that you need. But there is no size of what the finish circle you need. You don’t know how tight you need or how loose you need to create the right dimension. That makes a big difference. I am not new to quilling but I am not an expert either it is frustrating when you’re trying to make something nice for someone.

Nice choices and clear pictures to make the animals...my grandson wants me to make them all...if not for him make them for his mom or daddy

Good entertainment for several ages

The examples in this book run from very easy to a bit more complicated, but not overly so. Am looking forward to trying some of them. The animal characters are fun.
