Hello Hemi! I hear you.
The problem:So I just bought a 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 classic. It is a nice truck, but it was very, very quiet.I wanted a muffler for it that I could install myself without getting too crazy with pipe fitting and welding and etc.Watched a lot of YouTube videos, and found that even a single chamber muffler was fairly quiet. Watched many trucks with the Y pipe muffler delete as well, sounded much better but not extremely loud (you won't really get pulled over for it)Full exhaust systems sound amazing, but I didn't want to spend thousands of dollars, and they only sound good with the resonators off as well which I can't really remove them, due to warranty issues.Worried about inspection, this LOOKS like a muffler albeit small. It is a straight pipe. There is a small muffler, about the size of a soup can. I believe there is one very small baffle but in all reality, it doesn't really filter much sound, if any.Looking at this product:It's after the cat, sensors, etc., so this will not affect your O2 sensors or anything related to emissions.Seemed fairly straight forward to install and it is direct fit which is a major plus. This "muffler" fits up to a 2018 but it also fits the 2019 Ram 1500 classic.I did my homework before purchasing. If you have one inlet and dual outlets from your muffler, this should work but you should probably crawl underneath to verify. Apparently newer trucks or other trim models have single inlet / single outlet and this obviously would not work. It's stainless steel, like the rest of the exhaust system. So cool. It might last a long time.Installation:I thought I could use the original clamps......NO, you cannot. They were spot welded to the original muffler. I had to cut the clamps off with an oscillating tool, then split them apart and it was not easy. I suppose you could cut the pipe off as well but I feared the original pipes not being long enough.I bought cheap steel clamps, found stainless ones (one 3 inch, two 2.25) on Amazon and realized they are far superior, and they are stainless which will help if I ever need to change this out.During the entire process, never had to jack the truck up.Use spray lubricant like PB Blaster or WD40 on the rubber, it literally is the worst part getting the rubber exhaust hangers off. If they don't move, spray them more.Post Install:I started the truck and to my amazement, my truck started talking to me in the sweetest way.Not raspy, it doesn't sound like garbage like installing straight pipes on some vehicles would. It sounded so deep and throaty, and slightly evil.I knew it had a lot of potential just by the idle.Hit the gas and it had a nice bark.I didn't realize how loud it actually was until my wife started it up in the parking lot and I heard it from another car with the windows rolled down about 20 feet away. It sounded amazing, and I felt bad that I wasn't driving it :( but I got over it.Sweet spot for sound is about 2-3k, after that I believe the resonators start sound blocking. When the truck goes into eco mode (4 cylinders), it sort of purrs like a cat.Going from eco to 8 cylinders, it sounds so nasty. Like a brief explosion at first, then it starts telling you and everyone else what's up. Take off is crazy too as it smashes through 6 gears there is a brief roar and then bark as the RPMs drop as you go into another gear until you approach 35 or 40mph. Inside noise / drone is minimal most of the time but it's not as silent as some claim it to be. You will hear it. If you are like me, you'll roll your windows down to hear it better, even if it is 100 degrees out.Now I want to drive the truck everywhere and just hear it talk to me all day, every day. This is an awesome muffler alternative. You won't be disappointed. After driving about 300 miles with it, it has gotten a little louder as the carbon build up has helped change the tone a bit. I'm a freak for performance mufflers and no lie, they will get louder after the initial break-in period. Also changed air filter to after market K&N clone, which seemed to help get it a little bit louder, but it could just be a placebo.Buy it! Just do it.

Sounds great
Sounds great. Now my Ram sounds like a truck is supposed too. The only issue was that the hangers had gotten a little bent in shipping so I had to fix them.

Worth the money, easy to install.
It’s a very easy muffler to install once you get the old one out. A Sawsall and a little motivation (4 pound sledge) will get the old one out. The sound is great and is comparable to other more expensive exhaust setups. Fitment is great as well, pipes and hangars line up very well.

Nice
Nice deep tone, really woke up the truck. Did not come with clamps (I don't know if it was supposed to or not) but I had planned on welding it in place anyway. I used header paint on most of the piping because I think it will rust later on if you don't.

Easy install. Amazing quality, great sound at idle and daily throttle.. thrashy only if you mat it.
Very easy install. Took about 1.5 hours. Laying on my back in stone driveway on my rubber mat out of truck bed. No jack, no lift. Just cold beer and intuitive for a mean sounding truck on a Tuesday night. I bought clamps at local NAPA. Pro Tip. Buy (2) 3" clamps. It requires (2) 2.25 and (1) 3" for brand new trucks. Mine has 63k on it. My 3 inch up at the cat Y pipe broke due to Pennsylvania winters. I had to send my wife for the extra unforeseen clamp. lol.I feel this is the cheapest at price, best quality product for a proper upgrade on your exhaust. I absolutely love it.The product was heavily inspected once I received it. I'm a weld snob, welds was perfectly layed out however, 2.25 female end was bent upon delivery. Tweak with a set of channel locks and installed. just make sure your rear tips are centered, you can forget that part. DONT. no one likes looking at poorly installed dual tips. Haha..Only negative reviews of this product was no damn sticker for my tool box.
