There are some stems but mostly the petals are crushed if you care to know, but has a nice fragrance when you brew. The water turns light green before it turns darker as it steeps. Someone told me the right way to brew tea is to use warm, not boiling, water because high temperature burns the tea leaves. I don't know if this is the case here, but I prefer my tea scalding hot, and it still tastes fine. I do allow it to steep for a deeper flavor.

Very impressed with these rose buds and petals! Usually I don't don't deviate from my usual wholesale suppliers for herbs, but I am very glad I did with these! They're beautiful, look great and are v Ray wonderfully aromatic! Quite a tasty tea addition!

They are very beautiful and have a strong smell. It's almost too strong- every time I open my cabinet I get a whiff of these. I usually use these leaves for tea and it makes a fine tea. I am trying to incorporate them into other foods but haven't tried at this moment. I checked for bugs after I saw another reviewer's post and found none (which was a HUGE relief). Overall, a very good tea.

Bought these to toss at our wedding exit. They were perfect, beautiful and smelled great. A wonderful thing to use for a variety of different purposes! Would buy again to create sachets or for other decorative uses.You get a lot in the bag for what you pay for! Great for fillers and other uses. Did not intend to use for tea/food so cannot comment on that.

I love the scent and they taste amazing in a tisane - but there really are no buds in mine. They were probably crushed. It doesn't make any difference to the flavor! I make a rose, apple and lemon scented water - and when I want tea I add either black or green tea leaves. It is DELICIOUS. You can't go wrong with these rose petals.

Great product. We ground these with a mortar and pestle to make rose scented sugar for a craft night at church. Very fragrant. HUGE quantity. Seriously, the package was the size of a pillow.

These came in beautiful condition, and have a lovely smell. So pleased, and will definitely purchase again. I use them for my handmade candles, and these will be perfect!
