Water tastes fresh. The install is easy. You need some simple readily available tools. I purchased the bypass for non filtered water. One filter lasts for 5 years or 5000 gallons what ever comes first. I no longer have to pay $60 dollars every 6 months to have water from my refrigerator. I no longer have to go directly to a G.E. dealer to buy a filter. (Yes Amazon has them) After market filters will not work. Great product!

My water is filtered ! Easy to install. Haven’t had a leak. No smell no bad taste . My fridge already has its on filter but I put this in between the line from the fridge to the tap to be better filtered. Worked out.

Our new refrigerator didn’t come with a filter. But has a life tray. I bought the ice maker kit here on Amazon and install the water line myself. It was so easy. And than my husband wants a filter for the ice. So after some research we decided to buy this filter. It was super easy. All I had to do was drill one screw to hold the filter in place and cut the ice maker water line and push it in the filter both sides. It’s was easy peacey! I also decide to install it under the sink because it was the easiest method instead of pulling out the refrigerator. That would be have too much work. Ice taste amazing. But best of all - we have peace of mind that our ice cubes are clean and free from bacteria.

So far, so good. Installed easily. Didn’t have to cut anything. Just detach the ice maker tube from the back of the freezer where it enters, coil it up because it’s going to be too long. Attach that end to the inlet end of the filter where water comes in from the main water line, you’ll need to add the little plastic pieces that you simply shove into the filter on both sides first before connecting any tubing to filter. Then simply slide the outlet tube to the ice maker inlet valve at the back of fridge directly behind the ice maker.The kit comes with thread tape, a small spool of very thin fine white tape and simply wrap it around the threads of everything that has threads, wrap around it 3xs for a good seal.Have two pairs of pliers to tighten all connection points. Don’t over tighten though. Stiff tighten is enough. Turn the water valve back on (to flow) and look for leaks. No leaks means your ready to mount the filter on the back of the fridge. Think to place the filter in any place that accommodates the way the excess coiled line is going to compact the line and filter to be as flush as possible to the back of the fridge. The kit comes with three mounting brackets that can be attached by stickers to the fridge or by screws you do not want to screw into the back of the fridge. If mounting in a cabinet then mounting with screws maybe the best option.Use the stickers and Mount it by snapping it onto the C shaped mounts included.It’s self explanatory when you pull everything out of the box, for most folks.Says it’ll last 20,000 gallons or 5 years.Only time will tell. Do not use the first four to five batches of ice. It’ll be grey or black at first. Dump it in the sink. Repeat two gallons or several cycles.Once the ice is crystal clear, your good to use it.
