Great for beginners
I absolutely loved that these books assumed the reader had zero prior knowledge of computer networking. They even start with a definition of what computer networking is! Then the books move onto what hardware and software need and the pros and cons of different pieces of equipment. They even have a formula.to figure out how much cable you will need! Overall, I think this is a handy guide for someone looking to connect all their computers but really have no idea how to go about doing that

Very well explained!
I purchased 6 CompTia books that were excellent, but struggled to understand them at first because I'm new at Networking. I had a lot of questions from what I read in the CompTia books and this book made it clear. Thank you Mr Russell Scott for writing a book from a beginner's point of view. ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

Stopped reading due to grammar issues
I’d return my digital copy if I could. There were so many grammatical errors within the first chapter that I stopped reading. I’m not talking about hard to spot errors, but simple things that even a single re-read could prevent. The author can have my money. (I didn’t get a chance to read the book until after the refund deadline.) the lack of proofreading is downright disrespectful.

Ehh
Understand that this is a antiquated and extremely basic book presenting information from the perspective of 2012. Over all not a bad book there is useful information in it.

Childishly unreadable.
book reads like it was written in a foreign language then auto-translated to english, and then formatted and proofread by highschoolers. Never have I ever seen book formatted center-aligned. Not to mention font is comically large. Highly distracting. Unreadable.

Great if you have an interest in computers
I'm interested in computers and will be working on an IT degree. I read this book to get an overview of the basics of networking, and this book definitely provided that.
