Great self watering pot
The water gauge is probably working. I'm still top watering per instructions from the website. Easy installation. Beautiful pot. As far as having an inner pot to fit it, I had a pot from Bonnie herbs (US based) that fit perfectly. Your 3", 4" nursery grow pots won't fit. Another reviewer listed a pot available on Amazon that would be worth the investment. This pot is made by one of the leaders in self watering planters. You really can't beat the price. Came quick, great packaging, not a scratch. I highly recommend. After about a month I can water from the top inlet, watch the gauge, and let it go.

Wish I had known I had to supply my own net pot....
First of all I love the color of this planter and I can't wait to put the appropriate plant baby in it..... but I find it absolutely RIDICULOUS that there is no grow pot insert included and that neither the description (even on Lechuzas site LMAO) nor the instructions mention that it is 100% necessary and 100% not included. Lechuza charges SO MUCH for their planters that you'd think they could throw us average Joes a $.99 nursery pot (bonus points if it's long enough to be effective)! I had to spend 2 hours digging through my potting shed for something that would work. Luckily I found one to reuse but had I not kept it I would have had to return this whole planter because the dimensions are kinda specific. Very frustrating and misleading... and REALLY annoying. Probably won't buy another Lechuza after this just out of my stubbornness/principle.

Epic fail. Need more stuff for it to work.
#1 problem. AFAICT to use this per instructions one needs a correct size Lechuza Growpot. Amazon does not sell them. I improvised but never would have bought this had I known. A Grillo pickle plastic container fits perfectly. Just have to cut a hole for the wick. Build quality is excellent, assembly is easy. Plan is to grow a basil in it.

Works great and well made
Works perfectly for my potted plant. You insert the wick through one of the holes at the bottom of ur potted plant then water from top initially. They say for the first 3 months water from top until the roots reach the bottom of the pot and can water themselves. My particular plant didn’t really need that as the roots were already at the bottom and I can feel the soil is lightly moist. Very happy with this high quality self watering system.

Worth it.
If you’re thinking about it just do it. My Alocasia love is and is putting out leaves like crazy. It’s easy to set up and keep using. Helps me out a lot with 90+ plants keeps my thirsty guys happy.

Deceiving
The "14" after the product name makes it seem like you're getting a quantity of 14.This product is for a pot to go inside of. Not actually able to plant directly inside of.

Don’t waste your money. Buy the dupe
These are so cheaply made that the gauge is garbage. Completely unreliable. As that is the whole point of a self-watering pot, buy the dupe. The cheap knock-off might not work either but if the lechuza pot doesn’t work any better, why pay the ridiculous price for them? I had just purchased a Thai Constellation Monstera and a Monstera Albo and since the plants themselves are so expensive, I didn’t want to risk the cheap knock off. I have inadvertently over watered them both on several occasions because the gauge sticks. They have also dried out several times for the same reason. Sure I can check them by removing the net pot and looking inside, but I paid $120 so that I wouldn’t have to do that. I would have returned them both, but I had hoped they would loosen up and start working after being used for a while. My mistake. I’m going to trash them both and repot my plants in something I can see through to check the water level. What a waste.
