Boring
Didn’t realise you needed the larger robotic creature to benefit fully from this toy. We also have Botley, and he’s offered far more entertainment.

Wonderfully engaging book
I love educational books that captivate a child and make them engage with the teaching material. This one is cleverly designed using pets on wheels and a little feeding bowl - items children love! The activities in the book are well thought out and make full use of the pets and bowl to encourage the child to participate in the activity. The note to parents highlights the range of skills the activities cover and show how well thought out the educational aspect is. The colours and size were well thought out too. The size will fit into the smallest bag and children love pocket sized toys.Excellent product - fun, educational and exceptional value.

Creature Coding Pet Pairing Adventures
I like this LER3090 coding learning set because it is for beginners, it is also easy to use, I think it is a good way to start teaching children interactive games like this.My nephew was very happy and he was playing with the dogs, and I think considering the price you get what you pay for as there are other encoders better than this but of course with a much higher price.

Fantastic idea, Well Presented, Nice Gift, Needs developing
ordered this set for my niece to introduce her to a fun and educational first step into learning essential coding skills. The product comes beautifully packaged and makes a lovely gift. It introduces children from the age of four to Hunter & Scout who are a pair of playful pups that become Coding Critters friends to them. It is also interactive with all other Coding Critters sets and is an excellent STEM ( Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) learning resource. Though I would suggest buying more than just this one set for the best results. It includes a lovely bright 20 page adventure book as well as teaching screen-free coding activities that help them learn without the need for a phone or tablet. Also included are Hunter & Scout plus a dog bone and bowl, plus in the book are tiny tokens that you can remove to use in learning although these are very thin and not as durable as I would’ve liked. They learn aboutfundamental coding skillssequencingdebugginglogictrial and errorPlus every screen-free challenge helps children master early coding without any need for a phone or tablet.Hunter & Scout are able to join in coding fun with Ranger, Zip and the rest of the larger Coding Critters interactive pet sets.It is possible to feed them treats from their included food bowl as well as to dream up new coding adventures that boost critical thinking and other STEM skills. You can also use the magnets in their noses to help them interact with other Coding Critters.Overall I love the idea, however I do think that there is scope for improving this set and the series asa whole. It’s a fantastic starting point but needs development to really help children to learn.I would recommend the set as it is fairly priced and nicely presented and does make a nice gift, though I would suggest aiming it more for a 6 year olds and up due to the small size of the pieces and the fact that at age 4 a child would require significant adult help. I have awarded it 4 stars for this reason.I hope this review has been helpful.

Not good value for money
This is a waste of money! The rabbits are like a Kinder Egg toy.The book is tiny with very few tasks in.The tasks are very simple my 5yr old could do it with no help.Too simple to repeat. So once you’ve completed the book you can’t redo it.Get a kinder egg, pen and paper and save your money.

All style and no substance
Very disappointing. Two tiny plastic toys on wheels and a handful of activities in a booklet which are OK as an introduction to coding but little mileage in it after first use.
