Very Nice Machine
When researching a plasma cutter, one consideration was a 'no touch Pilot Arc'. This feature allows the operator to start the cutting Arc by simply engaging the trigger. The other option is where the operator has to first strike metal, similar to stick welding, to activate the Arc. Sounds like a good feature but I discovered it was at the least a $300.00 option. After a lot of thought I decided to save the $300.00 and go without the no-touch feature. This was a concern when the machine arrived, considering what a pain stick welding can be both starting and re-starting an arc. Luckily I did not find this to be a problem at all. I discovered I didn't have to actually strike the metal, I just needed to get close to it. In other words it works great and I feel I saved $300.00.As to the machine, it works great. I'm going to say fantastic. It does what it is suppose to do. It cuts metal.

Works great
Pretty awesome plasma cuter for a budget friends cutter. It will cut 1/2 on hight but works great for smaller stuff

Know what you are buying.
The item seems good value and it works well, , but...the manual is useless IMHO.The manual does call out two different size tips but seller cannot tell me what BOTH those numbers are, only one.A downside of this CUT50D is that the torch cannot have a standoff added to the tip. You could buy a different torch, I guess, but shouldn't have to. For me, a standoff is very much needed, so....Note when reading the product description that you cant really tell if this is a Pilot Arc or contact type torch. For the record, despite the obscure description, this is a contact torch with PT-31 Handle. It is my first Plazma cutter, so I will learn a lot about this craft. I think the unit will prove to be durable if not abused or overheated. Runs best on 220v but will cut thin stuff on 115. I did blow a 20a breaker running 115v, so I think 1/8 steel is about max.

Good little machine
For being a relative inexpensive device, this plasma cutter works really well. For a hobbyist, this thing will do what you need and more. When my old one finally rolled over, I took a chance on this one and it has exceeded my expectations. The only thing I personally would improve is the ground wire.

Sudden failure
After a mere 30 minutes of use, it suddenly wont start cutting. I was using this on clean metal. Something is deeply wrong with the electronics design as this is the 2nd machine from China using some of the same parts that suddenly fails. Same as Lotus. I had a different Lotus a few years ago which most likely shares design here, and had it looked at by a tv repair man. The mosfet control circuit was the failure.Insufficient circuit protection or just bad parts.

It works
5/8/20 just received the torch only got to make a couple test cuts. I do need to work on settings and my skill of using plasma cutter ( never used one before), but it cut 3/8 plate with relative ease( 1000 times faster than angle grinder with slicing disk)Was debating between lotos, aimco and this cuwiny ( they all look like they could almost be made in the same factory). Did purchase lotos lt500d but returned it. Never used it but between the consumable cost (had bought cheap consumables verified lotos uses fine threads they wont work need lotos consumables $$$$) and decided I wanted pilot arc for doing expanded metal in the future.Cuwiny cut50p under 400 and can get warranty for 4yrs for 40bucks... Sold! The cheap consumables fit, gun is nicer that some it appears. Has same style 240 plug(nema 6-50r) as my lincoln 210 MP welder bonus, lotos had twist lock ( just would have to change the plug but one less thing to do).No air leaks and I didn't die plugging it in or using it.Will update after more use. I couldn't justify a $1500-$2000 plasma cutter( this is cheaper than oxy torch set up) and I have no remorse right now.
