I really appreciate it. I started studying Japanese on my own about four years ago. I'd come home from work everyday and try to study for an hour or so. But unfortunately, life got in the way, and I only ended up studying for about six months. And I haven't had the time to study since! But now that my life is starting to settle down again, I am thinking about studying Japanese again. And this Hiragana bundle is the perfect way to get back into it!I think my favorite part of the Hiragana bundle is the Hiragana: The Basics of Japanese book, which was written by Clay and Yumi Boutwell. Instead of only writing the Hiragana symbols over and over again, this book also includes little memory hints that can help you to memorize the Hiragana more easily. For example, for き “ki,” it tells you that the word for tree in Japanese is き and that even the Hiragana for き looks like a tree). There's also a little crossword challenge and other questions after each set of Hiragana to test yourself and see how much you learned in that previous section, which is helpful. I also really appreciate the authentic Japanese 100-square notebook that came with the Hiragana bundle. I'm in the US, so sometimes it can be difficult finding paper that works well for writing Japanese, and it's really fun having an authentic square notebook that young students in Japan might use.I'm always on the lookout for free or very affordable Japanese study materials. So, I will be sure to check out The Japan Shop next time I'm in need of something. The next thing I might be on the lookout for are some resources regarding Katakana, because I always struggled with Katakana more than Hiragana for some reason.Well, I want to thank Jamaipanese.com and The Japan Shop once again. This bundle set is very unique in regards of what you can find in the Amazon store for learning Hiragana. The set comes with a very good book that can teach you the Hiragana with helpful tips on memorizing each character, a plastic sheet that contains all the Hiragana characters which can be used as a quick review guide and a practice book to help you write each character. Great deal for the price.
