The silver.lids don't close as tight as the blue. Can't use them for packing lunch.

Rather than reusing cottage cheese or yogurt containers or a bunch of different sizes of plastic food storage containers I only use Glad. I like that they stack to save space and that the lids fit into each other. So no searching for the matching lid to a container or a cabinet of mismatched tops and bottoms. That saves my sanity as I hate clutter in the kitchen.I use the square ones most, in two sizes, with lids that fit either. But these round ones are good for soups and sauces.They’re inexpensive enough that I can send leftovers home and not worry about getting them back. But now people remember that the Glad containers are mine and make a point to bring them to the next family dinner as they anticipate great leftovers. One occasionally breaks, but again, inexpensive so no worries.

Freeze cat food in these. Gets air out so it doesn't go bad.

I prefer the brand with the blue lids, because even though these seem a little more sturdy, they don't close as easily. Thus the knocked off star.

I love how these are stackable and the lids are as well, even locking together. They're a great size and easy to clean, however, they do not close/seal tightly. These are very loose which is disappointing. I did not discover this until it was too late to return them or I would have. I've purchased these before as I like how they stack so nicely, maximizing cabinet space but for whatever reason these ones aren't up to par. Maybe it's the silver color. The blue ones I have seal tightly but the silver lids just aren't right.

So many uses! Dishwasher safe, freezer friendly, great for smaller portions lunchbox! Priced reasonable.

Ok, I can say a little more. I did an oops and ordered a whole case of these, so I have more than I bargained for, but that was nobody’s fault but my own. I really like the trendy gold lids on these containers. I can easily tell them apart from the assortment of red ones we have in the cupboards. These actually ended up being the perfect product for me to freeze tomato sauce from my garden and when I make large batches of soup, I like to freeze enough for a meal or two per container and needed something different than what I had. These have proven to be exactly the right size for a lot of my freezing needs. If I’m leaving them in for an extended, I use a ziplock bag as well to protect the food, but I can reuse that bag for the next batch of frozen containers, so it’s not too wasteful.
