Super humane and effective
I love animals and don’t wish them harm, I just don’t want them in my pantry.I used this trap and caught several field mice in my pantry and shed, and it was extremely effective on trapping all sizes of mice. I caught a few babies who I would have thought would have been too small to trigger any trap, but this got them.Setting them up was a little confusing at first, but the directions were very clear once I decided to read them. Releasing the mice from the trap was also easy, and I didn’t have to get my fingers in the way of the mouse coming out. It’s fairly durable, but make sure to check them semi-regularly as I left one over night, and I had a larger mouse begin to chew at some of the internal plastic components. Definitely worth the money.

Effective and so inexpensive when compared to getting your car fixed due to gnawed wires.
These traps work great. Catching even the smallest critters. IE: Ones too light to trip conventional traps. But don't leave the prisoner in it too long. Although the units are well designed, a sharp toothed, determined mouse found a way to start chipping a hole in the plastic dome. They did not escape and I repaired it with a patch and marine epoxy. Another reason to vacate them quickly is due to the accumulation of waste. With the fold down door and the tight spaces under the trigger ramp, the tunnel was a bit hard to clean. But I just now discovered, in the original packaging, that the manufacturer included a cleaning tool! Great product.

Easy and effective
The traps are incredibly easy to use and there's no fear of hurting your fingers while setting it, unlike traditional spring traps. I filled the bait cups with peanut butter and caught four mice within a few days. Unlike other traps, the mice will not be injured or killed and they can be released away from your home or put down more humanely with CO2 gas.Cleaning the traps is usually quite straightforward, but there are nooks and crannies that can be a bit hard to scrub out if the trapped mice defecate in the trap. The included sponge cleaner works quite well though and it's safe and easy to soak in cleaner or disinfectant since the entire trap is made of durable plastic. The absolute best thing about this trap though is that the mice are NOT killed. Traditional traps can be quite cruel and can leave messes that will attract more pests. If you absolutely must kill the mice, you can place the entire trap (with the mouse still inside) in a deep bucket, place another tub in the bucket, fill the smaller tub with baking soda and vinegar, seal the top, and wait a bit. This method creates CO2 gas that sinks to the bottom of the bucket, makes the mouse unconscious, and then suffocates the mouse while it is unconscious. I think it is much easier to simply take the trap several miles from your home and release them into the wild (as is suggested in the included instructions), but some people (especially city dwellers who live far from the wilderness) may still want to completely get rid of the mouse in a more peaceful manner than snapping their spines with a spring trap.

Works well as a live catch mouse trap
They work well. Easy to catch a mouse with a little peanut butter. They are a little hard to clean out the mouse poop since its a bit sticky but if you use a hose with high jet setting it can be done. If you are squeamish, then these might not work for you.Trap effectiveness:Works very well.

Best Mouse Trap
This is the best mouse trap! It's easy to use - we use dog food kibble for the bait. It works great and no mess. Just add kibble to the back chamber, click the little front lever and you're all set. Check daily. When we catch a mouse, we just open the back chamber and set them free outside.Easy to clean - typically we just rinse out with water, add kibble and reset. And, it's easier emotionally to capture and release. I don't know what happens to them outside. I like to believe they find a nest or home, but they probably die or come right back in. Ha! But setting traps that break their neck, or worse not quite break their neck, well, it's just really hard. I don't like killing, if I can help it.But if you have a mouse, they become mice, and you can't live with them. So that's why this is the best mouse trap.

Real Person Here: Very Successful Trap!
I'll go by bullet points for each topic here.- Easy to use: Directions included, although having some typos, are pretty clear, and easy to understand. Extremely simple.- Easy to remove: Once you have your trapped rodent (or other creature) relocated to the area of your choice, just simply remove the "bait" end the same way you did to put the bait inside in the first place. The little guy/gal should run right out in whatever direction it's facing, no need to touch them. If they're scared, just give the trap a little shake and they'll get the message.- Easy to clean: Not that it's "difficult" to clean, it's just slightly more involved than cleaning a flat dish. I used peanut butter as bait in the compartment, sovwith some hot water, a spray hose attachment with my sink, and a Q-tip to get tight corners/edges, it became squeaky clean in around 3 minutes. Really easy, just a little more time consuming than 10 seconds.- Finally, Effectiveness: 5/5 stars, easily. I set the trap in the kitchen area where I've seen mice a few times before heading to bed. I turned out the lights, and about 20 minutes after I had lied down, I heard the door snap shut from the kitchen. Went to check, and bam, there it was in the trap, probably monologuing to itself about how it got there. Dropped it off in the woods a few miles away, set up the trap again, and there was another one in the trap by the morning.Closing thoughts: I don't know what the 1 or 2 star ratings are about. They made me skeptical to buy this, but now having used it, I'm sure some people got defective products, and that sucks, but I have a feeling some of those are due to human error. This trap works very well, and it's a great bang for my buck. Don't sit on this too long, because I'm sure it'll help. Have a good day, and good luck catching your soon to be evictees, and please treat them humanely!
