Finally Quiet!
Oh the savior to the annoying rattling and clanking sound coming from your hitch while accelerating or braking. This has been in use for hauling my Runaway camper and has saved countless hours of having to turn the radio up. It should be noted that I use it in conjunction with a Quiet Ride Locking Tightening Hitch Pin which had solved part of the problem but not all on its own. The combination has been the answer to the problem and even results in a smoother ride. Well worth the money- I own two different sizes for differing trailer demands. Pros: Quiet, Sturdy, Offers a bit of slack absorption in comparison to a trailer catching up to the tow vehicle. Cons: Pricey comparing to swapping out ball sizes for your different needs, Keeping it properly aligned as to not rotate while tightening the nut is a challenge, the bottom is recessed with a grease fitting- if you ever drag your hitch it tends to fill with dirt- see pic.

So far so good
Bit pricy for what it is but it does seem to work well. We'll see how it holds up long term. It does add about an inch of height so if you have you ball mount dialed in, this will mess up your trailer height a bit.

Curt Rockerball New Hitch design
I purchased this 2 inch hitch ball to use with my New R-Pod Travel trailer we purchased last summer. Looked at the reviews about this hitch and wanted to check it out. The hitch seems well built. It has a shock absorbing feature, which is useful when towing a Travel Trailer down the road. The price point maybe a little higher than typical hitches but will pay for itself in smoother towing. Good product, and will prevent the jerks and usual tugging that comes with towing, and a good safety feature for a reasonable price.

Actually Works well
Took a chance because I don't tow heavy loads. I tow a 5x8 single tongue trailer with about 1000lbs of supplies and recently towed my 300lb superjet on a single E-Z Loader trailer. I noticed no more bucking or clacking, it really cushioned the ride. a little pricey, but worth every penny with the bad roads we have here. Happy customer and would recommend.

I have a somewhat irrational fear of it coming apart and leaving my trailer on the highway...
That fear is tempered by the fact that this certainly does make for smoother towing. I pull several trailers that include 2 boats, a landscape trailer, a cargo trailer and a flatbed. All are smoother. Less jerking. Less noise. A quieter cabin and a more comfortable ride. I tow both with an X3M and an X5. No measurable difference in the ride quality between the two. If it stays together and doesn't leave me stranded, I'm pretty happy. Pretty happy you say? Yes, not completely. The mount leaves a lot to be desired. Using this with 2 different drawbars, both experienced the lower mounting plate that has the flanges on it spinning during install. The flanges bend up, the mounting plate and hence ball spin. It's a pain and needs to be corrected. I moved one of the rocker balls to a new drawbar and the issue was amplified do the already weakened metal. Would I buy one again? Absolutely but I'd be a lot happier if the mounting plate issue was sorted.

Crooked mounting and broken grease zerk
After the first one had the grease fitting completely break off the replacement also had the same issue as the first of being off axis to the direction of vehicle travel after tightening. Used it for one 600+ mile trip and didn’t notice any improvement anyway so it’s been a total waste of money.

Chrome on Threads caused cross threading
The design works great, and for all the people crying about the base spinning or the bracket doesn't work; just use a pipe wrench to hold the base. "Oh no... it scratched the finish on it and its going to look rusty waah wah wah" Who cares, its a hitch. Index the hitch just slightly past square with your receiver, and send the locking nut to the moon and the hitch tightens square with the receiver My huge complaint with this is the chroming on my threads was deformed out of the box. I would have had it replaced but didn't have time to reship another one before this had to go out on the road. The physical threads were ok, but the chrome that came loose ended up providing an undesired locktite and this ball will now never come off the receiver hitch. 1 star for quality on the threads, but 5 star on the function of the rocker ball itself.

Good idea
I have used a cushion receiver hitch for years but it is the style that has the cushion built into the actual hitch. This one bolts on to a standard receiver hitch and provides the same idea of removing front and rear trailer movement. I bought it to use on an enclosed trailer I was waiting to arrive and in the meantime I used it for a short time on my small utility trailer and it seemed to work as advertised. I didn’t notice any mentionable difference between the two styles. They both cushioned the forward/rearward movement very well.

Just as described. However, it's Chrome Plated...should be Chrome for the money.
