Great Test, Zero Privacy.
The tests were great. Very easy instructions, and they do work. The downside: don't expect privacy with these. The box that the tests ship in are the actual product boxes, and they have a huge sticker on the back saying exactly what it is.

A Waste!
We followed the directions exactly and after 5 days neither petri dish had anything in it! No house is sterile so this was a total waste of money.

Product works as described if you follow the instructions
Used this product in 2013 while buying a house (2 units placed roughly on either side of a large-ish basement). It definitely worked as per the instructions, and comparing the growths to the pics seemed fairly accurate. Thus I'm buying another two kits as a preventative measure (early detection and whatnot).It's worth noting that the product has gone up $15 in two years, but the price is still acceptable. Hopefully it remains steady at this level. Free ground shipping is still a nice inclusion.

Only detects live mold spoors. Easy to setup, use and read. One of the better mold test I've used yet.

This is such a rip off. It is for a specific air purifier. It even said that on the box that arrived. I should have known when my test kit box arrived looking like someone had already opened and returned it. This is basically for when you by a specific air purifier. You use one dish to test the air before running the purifier, one kit to test the air after you hook up the air purifier, then just hold the two samples side by side and compare them. You get no real results. At least the kits at Lowes have an envelope that you can mail in and pay for someone to tell you what's growing on the dish. The only purpose this kit serves is to visibly compare samples of before and after running an air purifier.

Worked Well for Us!
Worked great for us. We used it in our daughters room, before and after out air cleaner was installed. The first time was worse than the second. Now a month later, we're testing again. I even contacted the company to ask some simple question and the lady was quite nice and helpful. Wondering if the bad reviews are due to the fact there isn't much info on this listing.
