Great purchase, fit perfectly and desired quality
New to winter cycling, needed pants, not tights. After shopping many similar sounding products I settled on this but was worried about fit, flexibility or heat. Very satisfied on all 3. I am 6'1" @ 200 lbs and got XL. It is the right length and waist is comfortable (with drawstring tied comfortably can still take on/off without untying yet not slipping down). They're not too tight and move flexibly when pedaling, don't notice any constraint. Narrow ankle was easy to get on and no concerns about bike chain. I don't like "tights" and these have the look I'm comfortable with. They felt "warm" just putting them on in the house. Based on reviews for this or similar items, I was concerned whether too hot. As I start my rides in 40 F temp, other parts are chilled but not legs. Once I'm warmed up and especially after tougher hills, legs did feel warm but by opening my jacket, the cooler upper seemed to ease the lower heat and remained very comfortable. Read some reviews (on this or others) about sweat so when I removed after long ride I turned inside out just to be sure, but saw no evidence of moisture. The inside is soft and comfortable and hip pockets are fine/accessible with zippers. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for and really glad I found it.

Great alternative to sweat pants or jeans
Great alternative to sweat pants or jeans. I wear these all winter around the house and out hiking. Very comfortable material and helps keep you warm. Light weight, Stitching is solid with no tears after a few years of wear and wash. No shrinkage in wash. Smooth zipper. Wicks away moisture too.

Overall good, warm, winter active pants
Overall, I really like these pants. They are warm, comfortable, and break the wind well. I haven't had them long, but they seem well made and all the details were well finished. They do not breathe as well as high end pants of this type and you'll feel the humidity after the ride, but they work as a semi-vapor barrier so you don't really feel the cold from that. The sizing is a bit difficult if you're tall and thin. I'm 6'2"/180lbs and bought the 2XL. The fit overall is very good, but I would like them to be an inch or two longer. If they offered long sizes, I'd probably buy another pair. I'd also like the ankles to be slightly narrower given that they have zippers to open up to get them on, though if people are putting them on over bulky boots, I guess the current cuff width would be needed. Overall, though, really nice pants that I'm very pleased with for the price.

male, 5-8 185 lbs, 34 waste, 29" inseam - size xl fits nicely
I am rating these pants 5 stars based on my initial out of the box impression. After I looked at the size guide I bought the 2XL to fit my 34 waste and decent size thighs. They were definitely too big in just about every respect. My guess is that the 2XL inseam is about 32-33 and the waste is about a 36 or bigger. Even with those measurements I could have kept the 2XL (the extra length sits on your sneaker / shoe ok and I could have tied the waste tie tighter) except the crotch area dropped or 4 inches too low when I wore the pants on my hip. So I reordered the XL and they are a near perfect fit. The waste is comfortable and probably can accommodate up to a 35 waste or slightly more but they sit on my hips comfortably and do not sag at all beneath my crotch. The inseam is probably around 30 inches. The sit on my sneakers slightly. The only other impression I have (other than they look just like the picture) is they are very warm. Keeping in mind that I generate a lot of heat when I run I will not be able to wear them unless it is at least under 40 degrees. I'll have plenty of opportunity for that this winter so I'll report back with my recommendations for the optimum temperature range for me. I have no intention to use these for running in the rain as they aren't waterproof (and don't pretend to be). Just how much they might keep out the wind on the bicycle I don't know but I might give it a try if I get a chance to ride when the temp is in the 40s. UPDATE 12/23/16: I have run several times in this cold November / December in these pants. I will probably never know their true bottom range of temperature. I have run in 32 degrees with 22-25 mph wind resulting in a windchill of 20 degrees (what an idiot - it was snowing too!), 28 degrees with a little wind and windchill of 20 degrees and other times with temps in the 20s but little wind. I have never felt a chill on my legs even when I start the run. Since I don't like to run in temps less than 20 I will never find the temp at which I would need a wicking or other first layer. I still haven't tried them on the bike. Here's a thought after wearing them a couple dozen times - they are designed with cycling in mind. The zippered pocket openings are on the side of the pant and make for easy access when you are on the bike seat. The leg bottoms are tapered enough that my guess is there will be no chain issues. I hope to get a ride in at some point this winter if I can get a 45 degree day with clear roads.

I went a size larger than usual because I wanted to ensure they were long enough. I am 6'2" tall, weigh 195 lbs, have a 32" waist and 34" inseam. I have an athletic build, with larger quads and gluts. I usually have to order pants one size larger if there aren't any tall sizes available, so I wasn't too concerned with ordering an XL this time, but the waist and but fit great. The tapered leg fits snug but not tight, as I was hoping. The length is just long enough. I would have liked the pants to be an inch longer, but they will work fine, since there aren't any tall sizes. Overall, the quality looks great, and they fit better than I was expecting. The material is soft, semi-windproof, and a little stretchy. The elastic waist is comfortable and snug enough that I don't need to use the drawstring. The zippered leg bottoms are nice to get my big feet through. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend this product to others looking for an athletic pant that has some stretch, warmth and wind resistance.

Stats 5'10", 240lbs, 38" waist, 27" thigh. Ordered 3xl. Based on sizing I should have got 2XL but I went up a size. I find them a bit loose but they are super comfortable. I should have gone with the 2XL as I find the elastic in the waist loose but that's my fault, draw string keeps them up. I wore them in -25C temp without a base layer and I was ok as long as I was moving (worse temp so far), I don't find them too warm but I would not wear them in mild weather (5C and up) as I think you would die from heat. They are stretchy enough that I never feel restricted and I appreciate the wind resistant front panels. The lower legs are tight so if you plan of going over large boots, you may not get them to fit but otherwise nice to not have extra material flapping around. No issue with any seams, I've worn them 2-3 times a week since I got them and no tears yet. I will probably order another pair next year in a smaller size as I expect these will be too big by then.
