Black File Holder

There are only two occasions on which I write a product review: a) when I believe a product is well made and are worth as much or more to me than what it cost, or b) when I purchase a product that is of poor quality, not as advertised, or money unwisely spent. This all-metal wall file organizer is definitely an example of the former. They are incredibly sturdy, finished beautifully, and easy to assemble. The company even includes a small level for you to use to hang your shelves straight but is a convenient tool you’ll likely keep and use all the time. My big fan of small details and this product checks all the boxes. I highly recommend it.

Heavy duty product. Plastic just doesn't compare. A bit of trouble getting parts together. Instructions impossible to read, but of course, it's simpler than you think. I bought two. So glad I did.

Really nice, nicer than I thought they would be. However, I was not expecting to have to assemble them, which to be honest, was a little harder than I wanted it to be. I love them though. Solid nice metal and well painted with a powder coat so it is perfect and smooth. The 5 pieces lock together extremely tight. There are holes in the bottom of each of the 5 trays in the center, which you can see in the pics. I guess they are there so dust and crap doesn't collect inside. I could ask they be made about 50% smaller, as an envelope vertically will fall right out. I just put some tape across the holes from the inside and all is well again.

The product is solid, however putting it together was a bit aggravating. I ended up not using the wall bracket and just mounting screws into the wall and hanging the five attached metal pockets from the two anchor screws. The directions in the manual are vague and I couldn’t believe that four screws would be such an issue, so I just hung them without the top bracket. It’s holding up and serves it’s purpose. It looks nice on the wall, and if I need other pockets I will add them the same way by hanging them directly onto anchor screws after fitting the pockets together.

Works perfectly for organizing paperwork I used to have piled up on my desk! I have it mounted on the wall next to my desk where I can get to fast without the mess on my desk!! Easy to put together and very sturdy!

The reason this product is getting 1 star is because I was shipped a damaged/defective item. Paint is chipped and peeling from the corners of one of the sections. The material it is made out of is super sturdy and I would have been very pleased had I not been shipped a damaged or defective item. I would not recommend this product to someone else - it is not worth $45. This company needs to put quality control on their list of priorities.

For the price, the quality of the metal is sturdy. The installation is an absolute nightmare. Ikea gives better instructions (and that says a lot). I put together all my own furniture and this took longer to install than anything I have put together in awhile. As other reviews have mentioned that design of the product is poor. It really should just come already built and you should only have to mount it. I'll keep it because I like the black modern elements of it but it is a PAIN to install.
