A Pocket Style Manual, APA Version Seventh Edition

I own Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (Jul 15, 2009)by American Psychological Association, APA: The Easy Way! [Updated for APA 6th Edition (Sep 28, 2009) Abridgedby Peggy M. Houghton and Timothy J. Houghton, and Apa Guidelines (Quick Study Academic) (May 31, 2015)by Inc. BarCharts, but this pocket style manual is indispensable. Since I have to write a lot of papers, it is seemed important to own the APA manual itself because you cannot go wrong with possessing the original master piece. The pocket manual is much more user- friendly though, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who has to write APA documents of any type. It is my favorite writing tool so far.

My husband and I are in graduate school and we use this every time we write papers. It is very easy to navigate and the quality of information is bar-none. It is worth the price, trust me! You definitely need this for school or work if you have to write in APA format. Not only is it good for guiding you through citation, but it also has writing technique and writing style guidance - it will help you if you struggle writing in passive voice or making long sentences. Great manual!

I found this manual to be very straightforward, easy to use, and extremely helpful. I primarily used MLA style in undergrad, but for my program in grad school everything is in APA. This has a detailed index that helps you cross reference what you need to know and where to find it. It also has the formatting broken down into different types of papers (research, essays, etc.) I would totally recommend this to anyone who needs a solid, easy to access reference for APA.

I received this item 3 weeks later and I needed it earlier than that. I did NOT like that. Apart from waiting for this book for what seemed like an eternity, this is a pretty accurate APA manual but it's not a substitute for the original manual approved by the psychological associations. I found this manual helpful as it's an abridged version and it gets right to the point. It is also VERY organized, provides examples, and it's much quicker to find what you're looking for. I'm happy with it.

My teacher recommended the sixth edition but I Accidentally got the seventh edition and boy was that the BEST mistake ever. It’s so easy to understand especially for me since I’ve never even written a college term paper before so for a beginner it definitely helps get you off the ground

One out of four isn't bad. This is one out of four books I've purchased that I needed, liked and was not a hassle. Just what I needed.

APA is not your normal citation style. It's annoyingly complicated, but this helped clear things up. It's also heavy enough that you can smack someone when they say you did it wrong.
