Western Express Natural Straw Cowboy Hat for Men and Women - Cattleman Style with Black Hat Band and Silver Conchos

I have a big head 24.5 inches or size 7 3/4. When ever I need any kind of hat it’s hard to find one that fits. I was nervous about ordering but, I’m glad I did. It fit perfectly. I like a well made hat and this one fits the bill. The material is strong and keeps it shape. If the wind blows, the hat won’t slap your face. It’s very well made and it looks good and keeps it shape. No, it’s not a Stetson. Mine was made in Mexico, but I don’t care, the best boots I ever had were made in Mexico. When it comes to western wear Mexico has been my first choice for cowboy things for most of my life. My point is when I go to church, weddings, funerals, etc I wear my $300 Stetson. But working on my property I wear my $39 cowboy hat from down south. I am very satisfied with this hat and will be ordering another one.

The fit of the hat is great. My only complaint is that the band isn't centered, so the concho in the front is off center, it drives me nuts when I look in the mirror. Unfortunately, or fortunately, the band is pretty well glued down, so I haven't tried to move the band.

Very nice hat for the price! I bought it for the western costume night at our dance club and it worked very well and wasn't overly hot.

Over the last two weeks I have ordered at least 4 hats trying to find one to fit over my hair. This was the most expensive so I assumed it would be the best quality. Boy was I wrong. This is by far the cheapest of them all. It is basically one step above plastic party hat. It arrived looking like it had been sat on and ran over. The sides were uneven and it was cracked in multiple places. The quality is very poor. The hats I paid $20 for are much better quality than this mess. It doesn’t even really look like the photos. I am beyond disappointed. The only good news is it fits, too bad it is so bent out of shape and broken it has to be returned. Worst money i have spent in a while. If i could have gave 0 stars i would. Packaging was also horrible. Even the $20 hats came with a box and some sort of protection.

The color, the shape & style is very nice, I received a lot of compliments about the hat. Good quality material.

The hat arrived in very good shape even though it was shipped in a tight, shallow box. It seems very durable. Its coated with some kind of shellack. It is crisp and rigid but doesn't crack. It is bright and seems white in most cases, but it is a light canvas color. The Silver & Black accents up top are very nice. The medallions that go all around seem very much like actual silver. Still not sure what kind of metal or plating it could be but I like the look. The fit: 100% accurate. 7 3/8 is my actual size. I ordered a 7 1/2 just in case they ran small. When I tried it on it was slightly loose. Just as loose as when I put on a fitted baseball cap size 7 1/2. But I'm happy I got the slightly bigger size. I just wear a bandana underneath with the knot around my forehead and it fits perfect. I wear it out in the backyard so the bandana helps wick away sweat and even the strongest gusts of wind don't knock off the hat.

I didn't fancy paying £200 for a real Stetson as I already have one. Packaging was a strong cardboard box and it was despatched from Texas USA to Scotland UK. Perfect condition on arrival. I've put some photos of real Stetson next to the western express made in Mexico hat. Its straw and not plastic as some describe but obviously treated with something synthetic. The inside band is like a thin plastic or rubber and makes your head sweat. Sizing is true to size and I am normally a 59 L but I ordered a 60 XL as I have an oval shaped (long) head. The hat material is a stiffer type than a Stetson but reflected sun perfectly. It also has air holes whereas a Stetson doesn't. A good quality hat and perfect for working in the garden..
